NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia will increase operations between Belgrade and Istanbul’s main gateway to 23 weekly flights this coming winter season, which begins on October 29. It represents a boost of six weekly flights on the previous 2022/23 winter season, and an additional five weekly on this summer’s peak frequency. The airline will operate three daily flights on the route this coming winter with four daily rotations on Thursdays and Fridays. All will be maintained with the Airbus A320-family fleet. They will complement Turkish Airlines’ three daily operations between the two cities for a total of 44 weekly flights. In addition, Pegasus Airlines will maintain operations from Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport and the Serbian capital four times per week.

ReplyDeleteWill any new route be introduced?
DeleteRumors say, air serbia plans to introduce 3 daily flights to the Easter Island.
DeleteAnd the delay saga will continue also in winter season !!!
ReplyDeleteDon't be so dense. Yed, there will be delays, quite obviously. But for a small, regional airline these are huge steps.
DeleteFor sure especially once regular maintenance starts trimming down the fleet.
DeleteAnother genius, with inside information and the knowledge of Marek.
DeleteAnon 14.35 no need for such comments. All it takes is to go on Flight Radar 24 and check if there are delays. Unfortunately JU is still struggling to cope with all this extra traffic and delays are still a daily occurrence. I also think they are stretching themselves thin this winter and there is no need for such growth.
DeleteSeven daily flights Istanbul Belgrade...
ReplyDeleteThat will surely push IST to a route with the most seats offered from Belgrade
On Thursday and Friday there will be 8 flights!
Delete4 by JU, 3 by TK and 1 by PC.
More flights than between ZAG and FRA.
DeleteJasmin will change that..
Delete"Raspad sustava" ili raspad analitičara? :)
Delete8 million passengers;))))
ReplyDeleteBravo Air Serbia 🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸
ReplyDeleteFour daily to IST but no increases to Sarajevo?
ReplyDeleteSJJ will probably get night flights this winter.
DeleteIt's sadly that OU and JU don't response to W6 departure.
DeleteIf SSJ will probably get Air Serbia night flights this winter, why are they not listed with all other increases?
Delete^SJJ
DeleteBecause they haven’t increased it yet.
DeleteIt will probably be next summer we all know B&H is strong only in summer.
DeleteMaybe they are avoiding night flights to SJJ in winter due to the fog and other kinds of bad weather.
DeleteDoes anyone understand what all is driving this growth? It's really remarkable; there will now be an A320 like every 2 hours to Istanbul. It's probably more frequent service from Belgrade than by bus to, say, Subotica or Leskovac. Why is there so much demand to Istanbul? Is it business? Connecting flights? Russians?
ReplyDelete1. General demand
Delete2. Local network from AS going to IST to fly LH
3. Russians
And many Turkish construction workers.
DeleteTurks are the second largest foreign nationality by tourist visits in Serbia. Only Chinese are ahead.
DeleteIstanbul is the city with population of whole ex-yu.
DeleteIstanbul is amazing city and popular city trip for Serbians.
Belgrade and Serbia are popular destinations in Turkey.
+ business + workers + connecting travelers... And voilà !
I once traveled IST-BEG with TK, really have a lot of Turks. Which places do Turks visit?
DeleteCan say walking through Belgrade post COVID Turkish tourists seem the most dominant of foreigner visiting the city. Don't know about the numbers though
DeleteFascinating, I had no idea that Belgrade is a popular tourist destination for Turks
Delete15:52 (top 5 foreign nationalities that visit Serbia) 1.Russia 2. Turkey 3. Bosnia 4.Germany 5. Macedonia
DeleteMalaga needs to be kept to 3 flights weekly, like summer schedule...It's always fully packed
ReplyDeleteTwice a week for Málaga is more than enough.
DeleteHow do you know that? I use that route at least once a month, and I'm quite competent to say that it is not enough...Even those 3 flight per week were barely enough...There are milions of Russians using this route, 'cause there is loads of them living or having apartments in Malaga region, especially Marbella. That's Russian town..
DeleteAnd again those trolls that say that every lousy frequency is good enough and that there is never demand for anywhere.
DeleteTwice a week to Malaga might be fine for the beginning but there is potential to increase.
And if JU doesnt want to, there is still Wizz Air or even Easyjet.
Twice a week JU against twice a week Wizz would be perfect in a customers view.
plane for Malaga and return one are always top full...Most of times not a single seat empty
DeleteJasmineeeeeee!!! Dje si? Danas za promjenu samo jedno pitanje : Kako je u njemackoj guz.ci? Lijepo, jel'de? Ma mirisi ka u parfumeriji. Ziv ti meni bio i i dalje kahvu pio....

DeleteI flew to HYD yesterday and saw an A330 parked at the MRO hangar in AS colors. Is it the new A330 heading to AS?
ReplyDeleteIf you didn't take a picture of it, it didn't happen.
DeleteMaybe it was YU-ARA since it used to operate for Jet Airways.
DeleteIt was YU-ARA, it ferried from AUH a few months ago
