They are ramping up the conversations, my guess is that we will hear something official soon? Amelia sadly said that if they have to put in the money they won't do it - so the question now is are aircraft and crew enough for joint venture

Waiting for Fraport fanboys to finish their job with those few flights they have today and then they can start trolling how p2p is restored and Slovenia does not need national carrier at all :)

Why don't you grant Slovenia the right of an own airline? The money Slovenia threw in the throat of foreign countries' airlines, they could have invested in an own airline long ago!

    4. Your own airline is not a guarantee that money will not be thrown in the throat of foreign countries airlines. The best and the closest example is Croatia Airlines with its Lufthansa feeding role and with enormous losses caused by such model and covered by croatian tax payers. Just to be clear : I am not against slovenian national airline, but if it's established, you should definitely not repeat the mistake OU has been doing for more than 20 years

Agree with pozdrav's assesment, heck, why not even double down and reverse the flow of passangers between ljubljana and zagreb with more p2p destinations and skip frankfurt/münchen

Why waste money on a national airline? Just for nationalism? The government should use just 20% of the money they would spend on establishing a national airline to attract other carriers to open markets for LJU as a long-term plan. I don't want them wasting my EU tax dollars on a project that is only based upon ego.

As I understood, it’s the only way since there will be no EU approval otherwise.

Oh, great, they met with a former pilot... That sure is a path to success. #sarcasmoff
We don't need another airline run by pilots. They can fly, sure, but they sure don't know much about business.
