NEWS FLASH
Arkia Israeli Airlines plans to restore flights between Tel Aviv and Belgrade next week, on November 10. The carrier will maintain two weekly rotations between the two cities, on Mondays and Fridays, with its 122-seat Embraer E195 aircraft. Tickets are now available for purchase through the airline’s website. The carrier previously operated its last service between the two cities on September 11. Air Serbia has temporarily suspended flights between Belgrade and Tel Aviv due to the ongoing conflict in the country until at least December.
Brave
ReplyDeleteMaccabi also chose Belgrade as its new home while the situation is critical in Israel. Maybe Israelis are moving to Belgrade like the Russians did.
ReplyDeleteBelgrade is definitely the most open and welcoming city in Europe!
Was a bit surprised by this article in the Jerusalem Post.

What is nice is that those who support Israel as well as those who support Palestine can do so freely and no one is discriminated. For example in France there are restrictions to who you can support. I think that is why many Israelis are coming to Serbia now.
DeleteDoes Israir fly? ( TLV-BEG)
ReplyDeleteIt flies off an on. Not at the moment obviously. But it did fly this year for several months.
DeleteThey usually operate summer charters.
DeleteThank you
DeleteHuge difference, does and did.
DeleteI also saw any temporary flights to SOF starting? Are flights to BEG and SOF with tourists?
ReplyDeleteYes, I believe so. But it is interesting that you can also book a flight from the direction of Belgrade to Tel Aviv, which I don't think was the case before with Arkia on their Belgrade flights.
DeleteYes. So it was with SOF. The site is also only in Hebrew.
DeleteYou can book flights on Skyscanner with no problem to both BEG and SOF.
DeleteOk, do these airlines (Israir and Arkia) only carry tourists. Because they also have destinations like Rome, Amsterdam, Germany... Are these only tourists?
ReplyDeleteArkia is a full service airline but they operate charter flights as well especially from places like Eilat.
DeleteWhile some airlines are suspending flights to Tel Aviv, Arkia is resuming flights to BEG. Hmmm ...
ReplyDeleteHas El-Al Israel suspended Ljubljana flights due to the conflict, or were they here just for the summer season?
ReplyDelete* And Israair, as they were both flying to Lju alternating
DeleteThey are suspended, Sun dÓr (El al subsidiary) was supposed to fly this winter to LJU.
DeleteThey still fly to ZAG though
DeleteThey are cancelling all their flights to Zagreb.
DeleteFlights to ZAG and LJU are seasonal from March until October. From March 24 flights are in the GDS
