NEWS FLASH

Pristina Airport handled its three-millionth passenger of the year yesterday, the first time it has managed to do so in its history. The airport has also surpassed its record-breaking end-of-year result from 2022, when it welcomed 2.994.560 travellers through its doors. The three-millionth passenger of the year, who was travelling to Germany, has been rewarded with a one-week holiday to Turkey by Pristina Airport’s operator Limak. Pristina Airport already has three new routes scheduled for launch next year, including airBaltic’s from Riga (starting May 4), Pegasus Airlines' from Antalya (starting June 2) and SunExpress' from Izmir (starting June 4).

      Anon 14:02, 14:06: one that would like to purchase tickets already figured out that several providers sell them: BudgetAir, Bravofly, Kiwi... So, plenty of choices.

      @16.37 come on! Tickets for these flights are largely (almost exlusively) bought in Kosovar travel agencies in Germany, Switzerland and the likes. Its not like its a secret :)

      @23.18
      During Yugoslav times, Pristina had 5 weekly flights to Belgrade and once weekly to Zurich.
      Zagreb had hundreds of weekly flights to over 40 destinations on 3 continents.
      With disintegration of Yugoslavia, and global changes, airline industry worldwide grew immensly.
      Pristina is one of the best examples of such growth of airports.
      Zagreb is one of the very very few airports which have no growth, or with extremely limited growth, and is today in worse position than 40 years ago.
      I am speaking about it.
      Could you please explain me why is that sick and why am I "bolesnik"

      Pozdrav you are forgetting that OU participated in an ACMI project for ZAG-PRN. There was a lot of bragging back then, but it wasn't their initiative.....

      Nikada nisam mogao da shvatim zašto OU nije iskoristo mogućnosti u Prištini. Mogli su čak i da naprave bazu u Prištini jer je ispativo tamo imati avion samo za letove prema Švajcarskoj. Croatia je bila u fenomenalnoj poziciji da zameni JAT i da ga nadmaši. Verujem da je to još moguće, ali ako nastave ovako uskoro to više neće biti moguće.

    The amount of Swiss airlines is impressive and in general carriers operating there. Chair, easyJet, Swiss, Edelweiss, Eurowings, Trade Air, Enter Air, GP Aviation Services.

      Idk what its impressive there, Swiss has a few flights per week from Geneva only, the main airline which is totally unknown for the world is Chair Airlines with three daily flights, after that is Edelweiss. Its not impressive but its good to see so many flights of easyJet to Prishtina and we all know why.

    So until now, PRN has 400k more than in 2022. At this pace, next year, the 4 mln mark will be a matter of when, not if.

      Absolutely. Depending on the source, Kosovo population has continuously been shrinking by 50k up to 200k each year.

      In the next census Kosovo might only have some 60-70.000 permanent residents after all. It's a miracle!
