NEWS FLASH

Transavia France will bring forward the resumption of its seasonal service from Paris Orly to Ljubljana next year and increase its frequencies on the route. The low cost airline will resume operations to the Slovenian capital as early as February 29, compared to this year when flights resumed on April 21. It will initially maintain two weekly rotations, but will double frequencies to four weekly from April. In 2023, the airline maintained two weekly flights for the entire season. The growth comes as Paris prepares to host the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

Most of the airlines from Ljubljana will increase their capacity and frequencies by quite a lot. Maybe 1.6 million is possible?

Without Airline like Adria Ljubljana has made great results based on their geography. ZAG and TSF have eaten a lot of LJU traffic since both airports are so close to LJU. BTS is best example how neighboring airport VIE can eat yours traffic.

The proximity of LJU to ZAG or TRS has nothing to do with that of BTS-VIE.

For over half of Slovenes, Treviso, Zagreb and Graz are around the same distance or closer than LJU. Our biggest blessing is that none of them have such a strong network as Vienna, doe

Slovenes never use ZAG. Half of LJU traffic are Croats who love to travel.

People in the Southeast and East of the country beg to differ. For most in that area, it's the same distance as LJU since they can avoid the overcrowded road ring surrounding Ljubljana

Looking at their current schedule on their website, they have a total of 110 flights from Feb-Oct, which is more than 40 000 seats on sale. It also looks like they still haven't finished their schedule as there are still flights missing on some days. I believe they'll go year round next year. It would be disappointing if they wouldn't.

Transavia is known for their cheese like schedule, with random days missing or being added randomly. Same goes for Ljubljana-Amsterdam route

Transavia is not the best LCC out there, similar to Eurowings. They are also not very efficient or have any influence in Europe in general compared to Ryanair, Wizzair and easyJet.. Weak airline.

This, 1.2 mil seems plausible. Next year definitely 1.6 or more, though. Assuming no airlines announces cuts and we get year-round Ibetia and Norwegian

I saw on Transavia booking site 3 destinations from LJU. In addition to Amsterdam and Paris Orly, also Rotterdam. Anyone knows anything about this, Maybe Transavia plans also flying to Rotterdam nex year.

Rotterdam has been in since October 2022 when they flew a couple of flights instead to AMS.

Yes, I saw that as well..but there are no flights avaible so I don’t know. Hopefully this means a new route! It would be nice since Amsterdam airport has problems and it’s difficult to upgrade frequencies to there…Rotterdam is also close so it would be really nice!
