NEWS FLASH

Pegasus Airlines inaugurated its new two weekly service between Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport and Zagreb yesterday. It marks the Turkish low cost carrier’s first destination in Croatia and its fiftieth country market. Zagreb Airport’s General Manager, Huseyin Bahadır Bedir, said, “We are very happy to welcome Pegasus Airlines as our new partner at Zagreb Airport. This is a great opportunity for both sides, as it will increase the connectivity and accessibility of our destinations, as well as the passenger traffic and tourism potential. Istanbul is a major hub and a cultural and historical treasure, and we are sure that many travellers will enjoy exploring it. Likewise, Zagreb is a charming and dynamic city with a rich cultural heritage and has a lot to offer to visitors from Turkiye and beyond. We are looking forward to a successful and long-lasting cooperation with Pegasus Airlines”. Emre Pekesen, Vice President of Pegasus Airlines’ Sales and Network Planning, added, “We are excited to start flights to Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia. This is our first new destination in 2024 and Croatia has become the 50th country in our network. I have no doubt that both countries' citizens will enjoy our high-class service and affordable prices”. Pegasus Airlines faces no direct competition, however, Turkish Airlines maintains double daily flights between Istanbul’s main hub and Zagreb and will increase frequencies on the route to eighteen weekly from April 1.
