German leisure, travel and tourism company, the TUI Group, along with Poente Technical, a Serbian-run company with offices in Cyprus and Belgrade, have jointly toured Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport over the potential set-up of a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility (MRO). TUI has base maintenance centres located in London and Brussels and the company intends on expanding its aircraft maintenance activities in the coming years, with Slovenia being considered as a potential location for an MRO facility. The two have already held several meetings with the Slovenian government over the past few months and met up with the Slovenian Ministry for Infrastructure, as well as DRI, which is the state-run operator of Maribor Airport, ten days ago to further explore potential opportunities.

ReplyDeleteBecause they are recruiting agency and not MRO. Also whoever worked with them, know that Poente is scam agency that tricks mechanics. Their CEO and COO are special types of as*hol*s.

ReplyDeleteIt will not happen. The spatial plan for the airport does not exist and you need one to build hangars. Previous experience show that preparing and approving a spatial plan in Slovenia takes 5-10 years.
