Air Serbia plans new Premium Lounge in Belgrade

NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia is planning to open its second dedicated Premium Lounge at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport this year. As EX-YU Aviation News learns, preparations are underway to set up the new lounge in the new C wing of the terminal. It is expected to open later this year. The airline’s existing lounge, located in the A wing, was opened in September 2015 and is the first and only airline-specific lounge in the former Yugoslavia. In addition to Air Serbia passengers, the lounge is also used by business class customers travelling from Belgrade on Qatar Airways, Flydubai, Turkish Airlines and Luxair. Air Serbia is looking to extend its cooperation with other airlines to enable lounge usage.

Will the old lounge remain? Will the new one be a better lounge with tighter access?

Yes, it clearly states they will have two lounges.

Access is already getting "tighter" in the old lounge as Priority Pass is going away.

    3. For March 25 loungekey will not have access to airserbia lounge neither. I just checked loungekey website

Priority Pass is going at the end of March too

Yes yes yes! Current one is not large enough. New one will finally have windows!

  3. More importantly - if they really plan to remove access to their lounges to the LoungeKey users - then I would say it's a huge blow to LongeKey in Serbia, altogether with various 'premium' cards that banks are issuing here... :)

Is LoungeKey worth it? I'm being offered by my bank to take it but I didn't see a proper review.

In my opionion LoungeKey is good enough for the price you pay through your bank. You typically don’t get access to the most exclusive lounges with it but it’s OK. If you need something more, you either pay for an upgrade when you get your ticket or you splurge some more for Priority Pass

    3. I've been using Lounge Key since May 2019 and it's a fairly good deal within Europe. Not sure about Americas tough. Certainly some lounges are hit and miss - such as the one at DUS.

Interestingly enough, Lounge Key had access to "Berlin Airport Club Lounge" at Tegel, while nowadays there is no access at "Tempelhof" or "Tegel" Lounges at Berlin Brandenburg. They only offer some kind of voucher or discount at Movenpick cafe.

Which terminal were you at? Dusseldorf's lounge at Terminal C was poor in COVID but it is much better now. Terminal A lounge is and was very good.

    5. @anon 16:52 It was "Sky Lounge" in Terminal C, November 2019.

The lounge is now much better, although Terminal C is much worse than Terminals A and B. I was at the lounge two weeks ago.

Nice. Hope for a Goldair lounge in BEG as well. Would be nice to have that as PP option since Dufry lounge sucks.

Irrelevant, completely, if it is not open 7/24

It is a huge downside to transferring overnight in BEG if the lounges close so early.

@15:58 Actually makes a lot of sense. They should have a 24/7 lounge with some rest areas for transfer pax. Would be beneficial & an advantage too, as not many lounges in Europe have that

A lack of airport hotel is another of Belgrade airports issues.

No airport in the ExYu has hotel on premises. Belgrade already has 3-4 airport hotels literally couple of hundred meters away from the runway in Surcin (AirStar Hotel, Airport Hotel Garni, AirMi Hotel etc). Plans are ready for airport hotel on the premises.

I hope AF KLM will move there. The Business club by Durfy is terrible.

Fat chance of that happening. AF doesn't operate to BEG, and KL is known for being super cheap when it comes to contract lounges.

Haha yes their AMS lounges are like slice of gauda between two slices of bread. Dutch luxury.
