NEWS FLASH

Croatia Airlines has discontinued seasonal flights between Brač and Munich. The route was introduced last summer and maintained once per week between May 27 and October 7 with the Dash 8 aircraft. As EX-YU Aviation News learns, the route has been discontinued after the carrier was unable to reach an agreement with tour operators over the scheduling of the flights. As a result, Croatia Airlines will only maintain scheduled operations between Zagreb and Brač as part of its Public Service Obligation contract commitment.

Really should've kept a few of the Dashes for low yield routes such as this

they have a lot of lines from the split, which have worse l.f than those for Bwk..

To be honest this is not a bad move. The flights were completely pointless as they did not have a high enough frequency and the load factor was still poor. They should focus on routes with more demand.

1044,no we won't. The fleet has got nothing to do with a failure to find an agreement between two interested parties. Go troll someplace else, you troll...

in addition to the tour operator from last year, 2 additional tour operators were interested in renting seats, but Croatia did not want to change the flight time, which the tour operators requested so that they would not encounter problems from last year

Stop spreading the fake news about problems from last year. There was a total of ONE diversion to Split in the whole year.

it's not true from Munich for Brac, 3 flights ended in Split for no reason, and 1 in Zagreb,
there's no need to lie so much when you can check everything on the internet

it's not a lie, you also have a case, the day when Sky Alps landed properly in Brac, but Croatia did not, and already diverted all the other flights to Zadar, where Gruber suffered the most and had to bring the guests from Brac to Zadar by bus, in order to flew on to their destinations...

On flightradar24 it's clear that they attempted to land at all occasions but were unable. So it was clearly weather related reasons. I'd much rather land in Zagreb that endanger my safety.

Brac flights are somewhat prone to bura and other storm related issues if I may phrase it like that. It must be such an amazing approach, one of the best in exyu for sure, to land / approach right above the beaches and especially zlatni rat, fly towards that mountain and land right at the top of it just having passed the mountains edge/cliff. Quite scary. Besides that, OU is extremely inflexible for flying times to brac, same old since a decade at least. Hope that Gruber & others will find another airline to operate these flights.

oh dear, can't even fly profitably from the Munich hub to Brač with a Q400!? bad flight times, not enough code share despite Star Alliance

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anonymous12:20

There was no codeshare. The frequency was low. There is no business lounge in Brac. The flights do not connect onto anything unless you want to wait in Munich for five hours. The route never stood a chance.

for the first year, this line sold more than satisfactory tickets according to Croatia Airlines, despite the problems it caused by rerouting flights to split...also if it had at least 2 weekly flights, the results would be even better....

As many as 26.7% of the flights were diverted from Minhe to Split or Zagreb... even when the flight was diverted to Zagreb, they did not provide any reimbursement of expenses or take care of the passengers, and there were quite a few of them with small children.
they also said that they are not obliged to compensate for anything, even though they brought the passengers to Zagreb instead of Bwk..

      That percentage is not true.

27.05.2023 the flight diverted to Zagreb
      24.06. and 01.07. to Split
      05.08. also to Split

All other flights operated as scheduled. This includes all flights except 05.08. in August, all flights in September, all (one) flights in October.

the percentages are correct, and refer exclusively to the flight in the direction between Munich and Brac, not to the direction between Brac and Munich...
