NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia recorded its busiest April since launching operations under its new name in 2013. The carrier handled 303.189 passengers during the month, up 7% on last year. It marks the first time the airline has carried over 300.000 travellers in April. During the first four months of the year, it welcomed 1.2 million passengers onboard its aircraft. “Last year was record-breaking for us, and already at the beginning of 2024, we noticed that the trend of increased passenger numbers is continuing. The results achieved so far show that all four months of the current year have been more successful than the same months in 2023. We have seen a dynamic start to the summer season, and all indicators point it will continue this way”, Air Serbia’s General Manager for Commercial and Strategy, Boško Rupić, said. The carrier reported its busiest routes In April included Paris, Zurich, Milan, London, Rome, and Amsterdam in Western Europe, Podgorica and Tivat in the region, as well as Istanbul, Athens, Barcelona, and Larnaca in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

I’m going to say about 4.8. Considering they do ~700K/month between May-Aug (as an average) and the last 4 months could be similar to the first 4 without any new routes.

They never had 700k in one month, especially in May

Will be interesting to see BEG numbers for April and what share JU has. I still think overall demand is higher than capacity offered so there should be some spillover effect.
For example, last night Austrian Airlines A321 arrived fully booked to BEG and so did this arrival today with the E95. Lufthansa Group carries many transfers to destinations offered from BEG with nonstop flights simply because planes are full (JU and W6) so fares are very high.

Yes, it will be interesting. April should have also benefited from Final 4, new and old Easter. Admin, when will the BEG numbers be released?

Just before the first anniversary of Chicago service. Did Air Serbia or US release passengers numbers on the route?

If the share of JU in BEG airport is 54% of the whole traffic that means that BEG airport will have about 560.000 passengers in April ???

I fly out of BEG at least 8 times a year but mostly use a Star Alliance partner because I collect points and often get bumped to business class. I would LOVE to change to regularly fly to JU but they need a better frequent flier program with more ways to get points beyond just flying (e.g. credit card points) and access to lounges in Europe. Now that JU flies to the US and hopefully soon to Canada I would not need to fly with Star Alliance at all. This is the same situation for many other frequent fliers like myself.

Our company is part of Partner Plus Benefit and I have to say that it's pretty useless. It's really not worth it. We only end up using LH Group if their times fit otherwise it's mostly AF-KL as their bluebiz is miles ahead of PPB.
