Zagreb's largest airlines by scheduled seat capacity April 2024
Bravo Hrvatska!
ReplyDeleteThe growth this year of Franjo Tudman airport is amazing!
ReplyDeleteImagine if OU was contributing somehow to it the results ZAG would have.
Ou is actively working against traffic in Zagreb by moving capacity to the coast and the flying empty on routes like Osijek-Dubrovnik, Pula-Zurich, Zadar-Munich and Split-Malpensa
Delete1342, OU is the largest service provider by the number of seats offered. Stop trolling!
DeleteHe was talking about GROWTH
DeleteAircraft movements grew 8.9% while no. of pax grew 14.6%.
ReplyDeleteThat means that load factors improved by a lot.
Very good news for OU.
It likely has more to do with Ryanair's high load factors than OU's 57%.
DeleteOU's LF will be improved this year.
Delete@13:46 No, it means that Ryanair added the A320 and Croatia Airlines flies A319s and Dashes
DeleteThese are great resupts!
ReplyDeleteZAG back to second place in ExYu apparently.
It was back years ago, and it only missed out on it to Split briefly
DeleteZAG is becoming a LCC feeder, which helps with the nummbers of pax. but not with money...
ReplyDeleteYou would be surprised how number of passengers also increased income (turnover) in coffee shops and restaurants at Zagreb airport. Finally Zagreb airport in not anymore empty but quite busy and pleasant place to be.
DeleteHe wouldn’t be surprised because he doesn’t understand it. Ex-Yu mentality is that if there’s Ryanair, there’s no money to be made! That’s why FR is heavily present in wealthy countries and cities of Europe. Because there is no money to be made, right? No wonder the Balkans are SO dead poor!
DeleteZagreb Airport is privately operated by a company that only cares about profits, and I'm sure they would have gotten rid of Ryanair if they felt it was losing them money. The reality is that Ryanair brings in the passengers which massively boosts revenue. These people wouldn't be flying if it wasn't for Ryanair so the airport cannot be at a loss

Jealous??
You can't win with some, really can't, they'll always see faults in everyone but themselves.
1445, I don't see the airport operater complaining about the revenue.

ReplyDeleteZagreb is on its way to handle around 4.25 - 4.3 million passengers this year.
Croatia has around 16.4 million seats available for entire 2024, 5.67 million of that is on Zagreb alone. Data from this blog btw. Zagreb based on 2023 result should reach at least 4.25 million passengers this year, but 4.3 million is quite likely too. In 2023, when airport handled 3.72 million with 4.65 million available seats, so ratio 3.72 / 4.65 = 80%, if this is replicated in 2024, and airport has secured 5.67 million seats this year, = 5.67 / 80% = 4.54 million. However I'll stick with 4.25-4.3 million projection.
Quite a few unscheduled cancelations in April, without them, 372 000 would have been easily possible.
DeleteZagrab Franjo Tuđman International Airport is heading towards the right direction and securing a steady growth. When OU will receive the A220s, things will most likely change to better. BRAVO Hrvatska!
