Sarajevo Airport maintains record passenger results

NEWS FLASH


Sarajevo Airport welcomed 151.152 passengers last month, marking its busiest May on record. The figure represents an increase of 30.3% on last year. During the January - May period, Sarajevo Airport handled 520.466 travellers, up 30.2% on 2023, or an additional 120.670 passengers.

    When Wizz pulled the base from Sarajevo many people thought Sarajevo was going to start dropping

    Some years ago i talked with a local politician about subsidizing Tuzla airport.
    He said his party didnt want local people flying from a nearby airport of the "enemy".
    In the end they damaged Sarajevo airport which should have been the recipient of subsidies from day one.
    Thankfully now times have changed and Sarajevo airport gets the attention it deserves.

      From Croatia too !
      But we have alternatives in Zagreb and Belgrade.
      Unfortunately offer in Belgrade is scarce and seats booked out far in advance.
      After missing two flights because of overbooking i had to switch to Zagreb..

      Yes i got rebooked onto Turkish.
      Nothing against Turkish but i wanted to try Qatar and they have ever seats available only on their Zagreb flights.
