Mostar Airport’s CEO, Marko Djuzel, has said Air Serbia will maintain its service from Belgrade throughout the upcoming winter season. The Serbian carrier launched three weekly flights between the two cities in April with wet-leased Bulgaria Air Embraer E190 aircraft. The airline has so far scheduled the flights and put tickets on sale until the end of the 2024 summer season in late October. The carrier is the recipient of subsides by local authorities in Mostar for the upkeep of the route. According to Mr Djuzel, both Air Serbia and Croatia Airlines will maintain their respective flights to Mostar during the winter months. Air Serbia recently said it was looking into introducing new regional routes to its network this coming winter and extending select seasonal destinations throughout the year.

DeleteAgreed, must be the subsidies from Mostar. If paid well, no doubt Air Serbia would fly to Maribor. Or even Toronto :D
DeleteMostar is also more touristy. I was there in April and it was already getting crowded. It's a beautiful place with friendly people and very affordable compared to other places, especially in Croatia.

Even with subsidies, BNX route was less than 50% full. I travelled a few times in different times of the year, often only 6-10 passengers on board. Mostar is doing much better with more than 80% LF.

DeleteLF from bnx to beg is low because there are only two flights per week. Who would fly further via beg when there are 5x pw flights to Vienna, 7x to Memmingen and other options. Mostar has significantly poorer connectivity than Banja Luka

DeleteFrom legacy carriers only KL flies there if we do not take in consideration subsidized OU. So no Air France, no Lufthansa, no Austrian, no Swiss, no LOT, no SAS, no ITA, no Iberia, no Aegean, no British, no Brussels, nobody...And all of them have very good reasons not to fly to SPuUduring the winter. SPU is dead airport in winter.
Few weekly flights with ATR shouldn't be a problem to fill for both SPU and DBV...
