The Montenegrin government has dismissed Mark Anžur from the position of CEO at the state-owned flag carrier Air Montenegro. Mr Anžur was named at the helm of the company in May of last year. He has been replaced by the new acting CEO, Vukadin Stojanović. The government cited poor performance as the reason for Mr Anžur’s dismissal. However, this in contrast to official results which saw the airline post a net profit of two million euros last year. Revenue during the first half of this year stood at 18.3 million euros, slightly lower than the 20.3 million euros during the same period in 2023. The airline noted that the suspension of its flights to Tel Aviv impacted the result.

ReplyDeleteThe only thing i don't like here is that they find stupid reasons to blame, which is very obvious. How did the TLV flights impact 2 million less revenue. Somebody who doesn't know, would think that 4O operated daily on this route. This is their second statement where they do like this, the first one was about IST flights and Pegasus. It shows that if something isn't the way they though and announced it to be, the blame goes to everyone else. It doesn't sound serious to me at all.

DeleteSo in winter 2022-2023, according to this portal, 4O operated on four routes:
TGD-BEG 14 weekly
TGD-LJU 3-4 weekly
TIV-BEG 7 weekly
TIV-IST 5 weekly
( From January 1st until the end of the winter season ).
In winter 2023-2024, the airline operated on the following 7 routes:
TGD-BEG 14 weekly
TGD-IST 2 weekly ( didn't operate in winter 2022-2023 )
TGD-LJU 3 weekly ( -1 when compared to W22/23 )
TGD-FCO 2 weekly ( didn't operate in winter 2022-2023 )
TGD-ZRH 3 weekly ( didn't operate in winter 2022-2023 )
TIV-BEG 7 weekly
TIV-IST 7 weekly ( +2 when compared to W22/23 )
( From January 1st until the end of the winter season )
So, this winter they had 8 weekly flights more when compared to the W22/23.
In summer 2023 they were operating on 16 routes: TGD-BEG 14 weekly; TGD-BTS 2 weekly which started on June 17th; TGD-CDG 2 weekly; TGD-CPH 2 weekly which started on June 12th; TGD-FRA and IST 2 weekly; TGD-LJU 3 weekly which ended on June 14th; TGD-LYS 1 weekly which started on April 15th; TGD-Nantes 1 weekly which started on May 6th; TGD-ZRH 3 weekly; TIV-BEG 14 weekly; TIV-BNX 2 weekly as of June 9th; TIV-Brno 3 weekly as of June 15th; TIV-IST 7 weekly; TIV-LJU 4 weekly as of June 16th and TIV-PRG 4 weekly as of May 18th.
This summer, again, according to their article they are operating on the following scheduled services: TGD-BEG 14 weekly; TGD-BTS 2 weekly which resumed five days earlier then last year, TGD-CPH 1 weekly which resumed five days earlier ( -1 compared to last summer ); TGD-FRA 3 weekly ( +1 compared to last summer ); TGD-IST 3 weekly ( +1 ); TGD-LJU 3 weekly trough out the whole season; TGD-LYS 1 weekly; TGD-Nantes 2 weekly ( +1 ); TGD-Ostrava 1 weekly ( new ); TGD-CDG 4 weekly ( +2 ); TGD-FCO 2 weekly; TGD-ZRH 4 weekly ( +1); TIV-Baku 2 weekly ( new ); TIV-BNX terminated; TIV-BEG 21 weekly ( +7 as of June ); TIV-Brno 3 weekly; TIV-IST 7 weekly; TIV-ADB 3 weekly ( new ); TIV-LJU 3 weekly ( -1 ); TIV-PRG 5 weekly ( +1 ).
So, this summer they operate 16-23 more scheduled weekly flights. In total 4O operated on 24-31 more weekly flights between January 1st and June 30th when compared to last year. I am sure the airline also operated more charter flights when compared to last year, so tell me now why TLV flights are blamed for 2 million less revenue?
