Air traffic controllers from the Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Services Agency (SMATSA) will hold an hour-long warning strike tomorrow, October 26, between 17.00 and 18.00 local time requesting the start of negotiations on a new collective bargaining agreement after the Agency’s management decided to unilaterally extend the existing collective agreement in September. The union representing air traffic controllers has also expressed its dissatisfaction with the management. During the warning strike, traffic is not expected to be disrupted. SMATSA’s management has said it is willing to negotiate a new collective agreement, noting, “The collective agreement, the implementation of which was extended in September 2024, did not in any way diminish the rights of employees. The claims made by the Air Traffic Control Union that SMATSA’s management refused to conduct negotiations on the conclusion of a new Collective Agreement are incorrect”.
Hope they resolve the issue. At least there won't be any disruption.

Pure political background. Fellow controllers have read them, and that's why there is no support for this strike.”
