NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia plans to open new premium check-in facilities at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport in order to enhance the pre-flight experience for its high-value customers. The premium check-in area will cater specifically to business class passengers, frequent fliers, and high-ranking tier members of the airline’s loyalty program, Etihad Guest. Premium check-in will include a partitioned area with dedicated check-in counters, customer assistance and a seating lounge. The airline will also boast dedicated carpark spaces for business class passengers, from which travellers can walk via the connecting bridge to the dedicated and branded Air Serbia entrance which leads directly to the separate business class desks.

Parking option is a good one. Let's see if they will have some time limitation or will they charge by the hour

It needs to be repeated over and over: Legacy carriers earn most money with their Premium product, not with economy.
The better premium service Air Serbia offers, the more premium passengers will use its services. (and there are many, I imagine both in Serbia and especially internationally who are willing to pay more for a good premium service).
As commented by somebody above, besides the ground service, JU needs to work on its premium on-board product, which is not competitive.

But JU is not premium. It is a hybrid and its hard product on board is far from premium. It is antiquated. No point setting up passengers fir disappointment on board.

Calling yourself premium doesn't make it so.
Actually investing in premium services both on the ground and onboard does.
Sadly JU has fallen behind from the rest of the competition in Europe, let alone Middle or Far East.

      Just stating facts.

Ok. This is a start. They are also upgrading cabins on A330. So give it a rest.

What to Etihad 2007 standard? So modern. And the ATRs and a319s and e190s, is that a premium experience. This type of seperate arrangement is only good for QR, EY and EK.

What exactly is wrong with the ATRs? New cabins, mood lighting, what exactly more do you want on a 70 seat propeller plane? A lie flat bed? Yes, it will be Etihad standard and actually the best kind of configuration you can have on an A330 as most airlines including Qatar Airways operate A330s with 2-2-2 seating, while Air Serbia will have 1-2-1 seating. It will be flat bad seats. So what exactly do you want them to have on an A330? An inflight jacuzzi??

You keep forgetting that the most premium thing for the actual business customers is time saved. If they can order a half decent on board product and a nonstop flight, that will always beat a better cabin with a stopover

And a seperate premium check in line won’t suffice like it does for 95% of the world airports? No we need premium passengers to be seated and have carpet when checking in.

Speaking of premium passengers, I learned yesterday that Etihad Guest members can't use their miles to upgrade to business class on Air Serbia if the itinerary contains a connection in BEG. Only direct itineraries to/from BEG can be upgraded. I've never heard such a thing in over a decade of frequent flying. It's obviously high time for the FFP situation to be resolved.

Absurd. Do EY terms and conditions say that. Otherwise, EY is trying to preserve miles in their program.

They have started work on it now as you can see on the photos so it will be completed soon.

AirSerbia and "premium", what an oxymoron. They were even unable to paint parking spots decently, the paint is already half-washed away.
