NEWS FLASH
Turkish Airlines’ low cost subsidiary AJet has cancelled at short notice plans to launch flights between Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport and Mostar. The route was due to launch today. The airline said the service has been discontinued due to operational reasons. Ticket sales between the two cities have been suspended. The carrier planned to operate flights once per week with the Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The development comes less than a month after AJet executives and tour operators from Turkey visited Mostar ahead of the planned service launch.
Average booked load on the first 6 flights was...8%
ReplyDeleteSource? First one was 78% full and the second one was sold out
DeleteSure it was lol.
DeletePlease dont lie. Its true that first flight was 78% sold and second one was sold out. I was suppose to be one of the passangers on that flight.
DeleteJust today confirmation came from AJet that there was a mistake in their application towards BHDCA, they were approved flights with A320 which they dont have in their fleet instead of B737
As you can see on flightradar 3rd flight is still scheduled. AJet said the flights are not cancelled but pushed back untill they resolve the problem.
OMO announced that Ajet will make a decision today about goinf through with realisation or pushing back to September instead. It will all be announced today.
Ouch

After SkyAlps one more problem for Mostar.
ReplyDeleteWhy sky alps...sky alps is ok
DeleteAha. Marathon flies for them. Very ok.
DeleteThis is a regular occurrence with Mostar airport. Every time I hear about a new deal or airline going there I ask myself how long will it last. It is clearly not a viable investment for airlines without subsidies.
ReplyDeleteAirports that have to give subsidies to exist should be shut down.
