NEWS FLASH

Saudi Arabian low cost carrier Flynas has today scheduled the launch of a new three weekly service between Jeddah and Pristina. The route will be maintained three times per week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, starting October 1, with the Airbus A320 aircraft. The launch is in line with a recent slot request for flights between the two cities. The new route marks Pristina’s only nonstop service to the the Middle East and its first scheduled operations to Saudi Arabia. Tickets are now available for purchase through the airline’s website. Further flight details can be found here.

Both, religious tourism for Albanians, and Saudis like to travel to “greener” countries as the only thing they see there are deserts. As its in winter they maybe interested in winter sports too

I really wonder who is going to use this route. Are there business links between Pristina and Saudi Arabia?

There are quite a few. Many Saudis invest in Kosovo, like schools or hospitals for example. But the main goal for the route is tourism

SJJ and PRN are not the only two airports close to mountains and green spaces in the region.

Doubt it will work on its own without any tour agency bringing Saudis to Kosovo.

My flight lju-ist-ruh was boarded with about 10-15 people traveling to Riyadh as well. Mostly business travelers but there was a family that said they are going to some hotel 100km from Jeddah for vacation, so seemingly there is some potential for the flights

To reach 5mln in 2025 PRN needs at least 3-4 new destinations!

    These Saudis are nutters!
They have a lot of money to waste on the most unthinkable and random destinations.
If it was for Cordoba or Granada in Spain it would somewhat make sense.
But let us profit from them as long as possible.
For Prishtina somehow its still a win.

SJJ on the other hand Ok? Podgorica also Ok?
