Can august be over 200K?
ReplyDeleteno, if July was below than August will be as well ... probably 180K in Aug ...
DeleteThanks.
DeleteIs tirana happening?
ReplyDeleteThey announced it twice now, the schedule is on LJU website, but flights aren't on sale
DeleteHow will they be able to fill up the initial flights if they start selling the tickets two weeks before the start.
DeleteLjubljana has Tirana flight departing every monday at 6am...if they sell 50 tickets per rotation it will be a huge success
DeleteJust checked...they removed the flights from Ljubljana website
DeleteI guess that's the end of it then.
DeleteAir Albania is closing down. Should've gone to Wizz
DeleteAir Albania on the Brink of Bankruptcy | Only Flying to Istanbul
DeleteAlbania’s national airline, Air Albania, is on the verge of bankruptcy. According to a report by JOQ Albania, the company has not been paying salaries for months, is failing to deposit social security contributions, and continues to sell tickets despite its financial crisis. During this period, numerous flights have been canceled, and passengers have reportedly received no refunds.
Currently, only one aircraft in the fleet is operating on the Tirana–Istanbul route. Another aircraft has been parked in Istanbul since February 2024 due to an engine failure, while a third was repossessed by the leasing company over unpaid debts.
Aircraft leased from Ukraine’s SkyUp and Bulgaria-based Fly2Sky have also left the fleet due to outstanding payments. The airline is reportedly facing legal disputes with partners, including Turkish Airlines, which is said to be owed more than $33 million.
Employees are warning citizens—particularly those planning to return home from abroad during the summer season—“Do not buy tickets.” They state that many flights have been canceled since August 6 and are calling on the government to urgently intervene to prevent further harm to both employees and passengers.
Finished
The Airbus ZA-ASM, which covered the company's main routes, was seized by Etihad on August 6, 2025
DeleteKrasno izpeljan razpis, bravo Slovenija. Wizza sedaj zagotovo ne bo, ker je šel rajši v Trst, kjer se posel znajo iti bolje - edino pametno.
DeleteWizz would've been great on this route.
DeleteAir Albania atm is reminiscent of Adria in its final days
DeleteAdria had a legacy and passionate following of pax
DeletePassionate following of government pax ;)
DeleteMore than a million of govt pax at LJU? You learn new things every day on this site :)
DeleteBravo Fraport!
ReplyDeleteGood numbers! A little bit off topic but still. In the last 30 days more than 30K Spaniards visited Slovenia. Is there really not more demand than 2 flights per week for one month? Do they all come by train? Do they love transfering so much?
ReplyDeleteWe are getting Barcelona flights, and by the prices, they are selling very well; wouldn't be surprised it they went to 4-5 weekly next summer
DeleteThat's more as it should be. :D Hopefully Iberia next year also extends the flights more. I think those are also selling well.
DeleteThey love using 5 star experience with Lufthansa :)
DeleteWe booked flights in Jan from Ljubljana to Barcelona. group of 11 people. First we planned to fly from Trieste to Palermo. but when we saw that Vueling started selling flights to Barcelona from Ljubljana we changed our minds hehe ... we paid 75€ there and back.
DeleteI think once carriers start opening up vacation routes (LPA, BCN even DXB to some extent) Slovenian market shows up...statistics just aren't showing just how many pax depart outside of slovenia. Zagreb, Trieste, Venice, Graz are all filled with slovenian pax. My guess would be that even if TradeAir started selling selected routes as a full service carriers those flights would be full...can't imagine just how good LLC flights to Greece, Malta, Spain coast would sell
Deletep2p has been restored. 2025vs2018
ReplyDeleteWhat is P2P?
DeleteI assume he means passengers excluding transfers. In 2018 those passengers represented 15% of all LJU passangers. Today the gap is still 18,4%. So still not there, while most of the airports in the region are well above 2019 levels. I would not call this a success.
DeleteI wouldn’t call this a success either, considering that for at least part of the year Trieste was ahead of LJU. Trieste was always far behind.
DeleteIs Swiss usually using A320NEOS in Ljubljana?
ReplyDeleteYep, they are. They use all their NB fleet to LJU
DeleteAdmin, how's Aegean performing in LJU?
ReplyDeleteBy my calculations 72 % LF in May. Luxair 74 %, AirSerbia to BEG and INI 75 %, LOT 76 %, Swiss 77 %, AirBaltic around 80 %, Brussels 80 %, Turkish 80 %, London (British + easyJet) 86 %, Amsterdam (KLM + Transavia) high 88 %. In a few days the data for June will be available as well.
