SAS Scandinavian Airlines has cancelled its planned winter operations from Copenhagen to both Sarajevo and Pristina. Earlier this year, the carrier extended its seasonal operations on the two routes into the upcoming winter. Sarajevo was to be maintained twice per week throughout the entire winter season, from late October until late March of next year, while Pristina was extended until mid-January with a weekly rotation. However, last week the airline suspended ticket sales on the two routes over the winter period. Both will now run until October 22 and resume on April 1 next year.
loads on CPH were really good for both Norwegian and SAS to SJJ, maybe they will lack planes in the winter season? Who knows
ReplyDeleteIf loads in summer are good they will continue flights in summer and maybe even increase them.

DeleteWell, if they cancel flights in winter but not in summer that means that loads in summer are good enough not to cancel them.

I flew on SAS this summer. There was a lot of passengers connecting from Boston, New York, and Atlanta all going to SJJ. The flights that I flew on to Bosnia were also full on both the A320neo and the A319. I really hope they boost the weekly service especially during the summer so that there is some SkyTeam competition at SJJ to lower prices. They need the morning flights at 9:40am going back to CPH at least twice a week, and the morning flights flying to Sarajevo at 8:50am at least twice a week for good connections.
DeleteNo one said that the route is not good in summer , any route will work in summer , but not in winter , so you cannot compare summer loads and demands with winter , anything that works im summer doesnt mean will work in winter , thats call logic!!
