Congratulations Zagreb. But is it just me or did Croatia Airlines' new routes which started in early July make no impact on passenger numbers whatseover?
ReplyDeleteProbably,if Ryanair opened 5 new routes instead of OU passenger numbers would go to 500k definitely.

ReplyDeleteIt is an amazing performance this year from Franjo Tudman airport.
ReplyDeleteExtreme impressive if you take into account the stellar performance it had last year.

DeleteLong term, Zagreb has a great future, I mean the airport is all but guaranteed to reach 20 million passengers, by 2040. As Croatia becomes wealthier and people have more disposable income, they'll opt to travel more and more.... I predict this year Airport will reach 4.7 million, somewhat disappointing if you ask me, but at least there's a decent growth. 2026, Zagreb airport will surpass 5.0 million that is all but certain, question is, can Croatian Airlines play significant role in that growth. Medium term, Zagreb airport will most likely end up with ~7.0 million passengers in 2030, but with Croatian strong tourism performance, growing importance of Zagreb as capitol of an EU member state and the fact Croatia is now becoming wealthy and prosperous country, all will play in passenger noumbers long term.
