NEWS FLASH

airBaltic will restore flights between Riga and Belgrade in 2026 following a one-year hiatus. The service will resume on May 1 of next year and operate twice per week, on Mondays and Fridays, with the Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The route was suspended this year as a result of airBaltic’s wide-ranging network cuts. Further flight details can be found here. Ticket are now available for purchase through the airline's website.

Good news. I think there is enough room for them to get transfers on top of what O&D there is.
BEG might have a decent network to Scandinavia but the number of frequencies isn't that high. When you add Finland and the Baltics to their Scandinavian network they should have no problems filling these two weekly flights.

Much better schedule, than flights in the middle of the night last time. These flights will work out, and will provide good connectivity to Baltic region and Finland.

Well, for now seasonal. Check in around 10 months to see if the route is extended to year-round.

Tallinn and Vilnius would be nice additions as well.

Yes, JU should start one at least. E190 seems like a perfect fit

airBaltic can launch them and just expand their codeshare with JU. In my opinion JU has more urgent routes to launch.

JU could have a lot transfers towards Russia and China. They should just chose different days for Tallinn and different for Vilnius. All three could work 2pw. If they can acquire two extra E190/195 early next year, all could become logical
