Ljubljana Airport registers busy August

NEWS FLASH


Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport handled 186.226 passengers in August, representing an increase of 11.7% on the same period last year. This figure was achieved despite a decline in aircraft movements of 1.5% to 2.509. Over the January - August period, the airport welcomed 1.057.083 travellers through its doors, an improvement of 7.9%, or an additional 77.577 passengers. The figure is still down 17.3% on the pre-pandemic 2019. Strong growth is expected in September, with scheduled capacity currently up 20.3% year-on-year.

    19.4% capacity increase in August (exyuaviation.com/2025/07/all-ex-yu-capital-airports-set-for.html) vs. 11.7% pax increase doesn't sound promising.

      Before privatisation they had 5mil net profit with 30mil revenue. That is pretty decent for an airport this size.

    Brussels airlines recently changed the schedule of their upcoming winter flights. It is now much less convenient.

      Indeed. Direct flights now only conveniet for boomer tourists from Belgium. Business travel wise almost completely useless.
