NEWS FLASH
Montenegro and Bulgaria have signed an aviation cooperation agreement with the goal of introducing scheduled flights between the two countries. The Bulgarian Minister of Transport and Communications, Grozdan Karadjov, described the deal as “the first important step” toward establishing the service, adding that both sides would work to launch flights as soon as possible. To support the initiative, a joint working group has been set up, bringing together transport ministries, aviation authorities, airport operators and Air Montenegro to prepare the route. Mr Karadjov also noted that Bulgarian airports offer incentive schemes for carriers opening new destinations, encouraging Air Montenegro to take advantage of these opportunities.
Is there any demand?
ReplyDeleteI have no info about this, but using some logic, I would say the demand is there for 2-3 weekly flights. The Bulgarian coast is not that nice, Bulgarians often travel for vacation, I think this could actually work out. Montenegro is not well connected with the Balkans, pretty much everything goes through BEG connection
DeleteSeems they are 4-5 months late. Only next summer would have some sense
