NEWS FLASH
Ryanair registered a solid start to its new Girona - Sarajevo service launched on March 31, with figures significantly improving in July. During the month, the airline welcomed 3.087 passengers between the two cities, registering a cabin load factor of 90.7% for the month. Coupled with its operations over the previous months, the budget carrier handled 13.391 travellers between the two cities, for an average cabin occupancy rate of 80.5%.
* single rotation
That first flight in March surely was a shock :) 37 pax is not ideal for the first flight, however this shows that sometimes you need to be patient
ReplyDeleteThis is only single rotation which means in the end this would not be the final numbers...
DeleteThis is the final number. There was a single rotation in March as the service launched on March 31, as indicated in the first sentence.
DeleteBut this single rotation in March, what was this? They did not start flying in March. Ryanair inaugurated this direct connection on April 2, 2025, with a flight carrying 55 passengers arriving in Sarajevo. Still bad, 55 passengers, but mostly media representatives from Spain
DeleteNo, the inaugural flight was on March 31. A ceremony for media representatives was organised during the second flight on April 2.

DeleteAs noted the inaugural flight was on March 31. You can view this information on flightradar and the Ryanair press release. Media events for new route launches are not always held on the actual first day of the flight for a number of reasons.
DeleteWhy are some people attacking the admins?
Delete1) you can see on flightradar that inaugural was on 31 March -
31 Mar 2025 Girona (GRO) Sarajevo (SJJ) B738 (EI-EMK) 1:52 18:30 18:28 20:45 Landed 20:20
2) I also noticed in the article from last month that's linked that people were attacking the admin because they were unhappy about the loads on the flight lol

March had a load factor of 0.1% 😀
ReplyDeleteIt was around 20% but yeah, 0.1% is impossible in commercial aviation, as no plane has more than 750 seats to even round it down to that.
DeleteLoad factor was 9.8% for the March rotation.
DeleteNot too confident this will perform well this winter. Let's see.
ReplyDeleteIt's like charter. Maybe yes.
DeleteImpressive!
ReplyDeleteWhat is impressive ?June and July they had less passengers then May , will see August ..
Delete^ You sound upset about SJJ's success. 🤷♂️
DeleteBravo Sarajevo!
ReplyDeleteThey reduced the flights in June or July or what? Both months have less passengers then June and May.
ReplyDeleteYes reduced, you can see it by looking at load factor %
Delete21 million people flew with Ryanair last month.
ReplyDeletePuts our regions numbers in context
Exactly!
