NEWS FLASH
Croatia Airlines’ Airbus A220-300 aircraft, registered 9A-CAE, is currently taking part in a promotional tour across Europe organised by Airbus, during which the aircraft’s performance, comfort and efficiency will be showcased to potential airline customers and industry partners. The aircraft was hosted by Icelandair in Reykyavik yesterday and is heading to Lisbon today. Croatia Airlines currently has a fleet of seven A220s, with a further eight due for delivery in 2026 and 2027.
It’s ironic that they claim there aren’t enough crew members for better utilisation of the jets, yet this isn’t an issue for promotional tours. It’s a joke of a company.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure Airbus pays for this.
DeleteOU is paid for this and the crew is most certainly an Airbus crew. The only joke here is you.
DeleteOU is paid but in these sorts of situations the airline usually provides the crew.
DeleteMaybe they should include OU’s balance sheets with the promotional tour
DeleteAh, thats why my flight yesterday was downgraded to an A319
ReplyDeleteI see these being wet leased to the likes of LOT, Aegean and LH Group very, very soon (much like Air Baltic's A220s).
ReplyDeleteIt would be a good idea to improve profitability. Croatia Airlines was most profitable when it didn't fly, in covid
DeleteThey already have too much spare A220's. And 8 more to come
ReplyDelete9A-CAP is grounded too...any idea why? On the ground for 12 days, after it didn't take off from CPH
ReplyDeleteBirdstrike
ReplyDelete12 days for the birdstrike? Hmmmmm....
DeleteI assume OU only makes profit with a220 using these, meanwhile JU knows they are lack of experience so trying these with wet lease. Probably OU should think about similar approach for winter times/
ReplyDeleteMuch better to just order a bunch of the planes, what dna go wrong?
