NEWS FLASH
Flydubai has revised its upcoming winter schedule, reducing frequencies on its Ljubljana service during select months. The carrier now plans to operate five weekly rotations between Dubai and the Slovenian capital for most of January and March, down from the initially planned daily service, which also operated during the previous winter season. The remainder of the schedule remains unchanged, featuring four weekly flights in November and daily operations in December and February, in line with last winter’s frequencies.
Bravo Fraport!
ReplyDeleteanon @ 13:30 - Once again your "intellectual" peak
DeleteThey increased the prices for the flights this year, and now Turkish absolutely demoslishes them on the price range.
ReplyDeleteLJU-DXB one way:
TK: 236€ - travel time 8hours
FZ: 351/299€ - travel time 6 hours
Those 60€ one way come a long way when traveling with family, or for vacation, and middle east connections with TK are superb, practically you land at IST, go to the gate and wait 20 minute for boarding, not to mention that you get a meal, and movies to watch for free
I remember in 2021 when they started the flights, the upgrade starting price was $290 USD per passenger and now it's $455 USD per passenger. That tells you all
DeleteAnd they regularly fly via Syria, which should reduce the flight time by about 10-20mins.
DeleteI travel frequently, up to 10 times a year, between Ljubljana and Colombo. I have only tried Fly Dubai once and I regretted it. Always with Turkish, the level of service is incomparable.
DeleteThis makes sense. In January and March the LF was around 60 %, in February it was 78 %, in April 82 % ...
ReplyDeleteWell TK sells night flights with morning arrival in DXB and LJU with 1hr stopover for 350 eur - 400 eur. LH for same night flight via MUC/FRA for 450 ...
ReplyDeleteI think they make room to start the route with highest demand at the Balkans, twice daily to SKP :)
ReplyDeleteThat is reserved for Emirates with the A380.
DeleteSo effectively they change from now 4 weekly to 5 weekly flights compared to last winters daily ops. Small change tbh. If you look at their expansion in OTP and BEG plus others then it’s not rocket science to see it as redeploying capacity and assets. LJU is doing well but with limited aircraft (see CEO’s comments on being 20 aircraft short) they see a more profitable opportunity elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteAlso the novelty of the new route is gone, especially with uncompetitive prices.
DeleteAgain Ljubljana...
ReplyDeleteFully agree with previous comments. FZ should is to be avoided - legacy carrier price with LCC service and quality. TK is lightyears ahead.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree. Going to East Africa in January. Departure Qatar from Zagreb, return Emirates to Venice, just to avoid flydubai. And I do it whenever I can.
