NEWS FLASH

Saudi Arabian low cost carrier Flynas inaugurated flights between Jeddah and Pristina today, marking the first time the two cities have been linked with a scheduled air service. With 66 passengers onboard the inaugural flight, the aircraft was welcomed by officials and a water cannon salute. The route will be maintained three times per week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with an A320 aircraft. Commenting on the new service, Lulzim Mjeku, Ambassador of Kosovo to Saudi Arabia, said, “The launch of direct Flynas flights between Jeddah and Pristina is more than a tourism milestone. It signals Kosovo’s rise as a new destination for Saudi business and investment". He added, "The most frequent question asked of me from both countries’ business communities was: Is there a direct flight between Saudi Arabia and Kosovo? It wasn’t until last year that both states signed the Agreement on Air Services. Today, as the two sides have concluded several basic agreements with a focus on business, I may say that through this work, both governments have paved the way for business communities to start exploring avenues of cooperation”.

Yes and I don't think that 40% load factor on inaugural flight where there seems to have been many non revenue officials onboard is that great.

There are multiple Boeing 777 carrying pax from PRN to JED during Hajj season, so maybe there is interest for some to go there for Umrah.

This will end within a month. LCC with 40%LF is a huge failure

It will finish for sure , there is no any profit for the airline in this casr flynas , but could sustain only as political deal which I think this is clearly nothing else then that

The route is more intended for traveling for religious pilgrimage. So, I suppose the return flight had more pax.

I live there. Religion is not really important, but there are believers who practice it and are the target market for this route.
