Commenting on the airline’s growing E195 fleet, Air Serbia’s CEO, Jiri Marek, said, “Welcoming these versatile Embraer E195-E1 aircraft represents another important step in our fleet strategy as we continue to renew and expand our operations. The aircraft offer the right balance of performance, comfort and efficiency to serve routes across Southeast, Western and Central Europe, allowing us to introduce jet service on shorter sectors and improve connectivity for our passengers”.
This is the first aircraft delivery for Air Serbia this year, with a further three mid-life Airbus A320 jets expected to arrive by June. The first, formerly operated by Wizz Air, is due to arrive next month, while another two former Aegean Airlines jets, are expected to be delivered in April, although they are not due to enter service until June. With the induction of the fourth Embraer and three A320s, the airline will finalise its fleet for the 2026 summer season. The carrier is now shifting its focus to the 2026/27 winter season, as well as to potential aircraft leasing opportunities emerging from the recent bankruptcies of several airlines. At the same time, Air Serbia will retire one A319 in February, with another scheduled to exit the fleet in March.

How many E195s do they plan to have in total?
ReplyDeleteThe airline said they could operate up to 15 E195
Deletehttps://www.exyuaviation.com/2024/08/air-serbia-sees-potential-in-up-to.html
Wonder if we’ll see YU-ATE soon.
DeleteFor an airline that stated back in August of 2024 that it could operate 15 E-195s they sure take their time in bringing in Ejets...
Delete^ They never gave you a timeline when they COULD have 15 ejets. Calm down.
Delete8 Ejets are serious fleet. It allows more opportunity to explore new destinations. Unfortunately, JU doesn't seem it's up to it.
DeleteJU is definitely up to it, but they also have their current network to look out for as well. We have JMK, GVA and now JTR launched with JU's Ejets, routes such as HAJ, HAM and GOT stabilised, BRU being increased, FRA jumping from 7 pw to 13 pw, ATH going triple daily and a tonne more examples with more to come. Roughly half of their route network was opened in the last 3-4 years and yet they're still launching new routes, time to increase frequencies as well.
Deleteyes they are taking their time, but they did have a plan when making the statement in 2024. and that plan had to be scrapped and start again when the plan with Marathon failed. so you can say that the management was slow and poor planned to have a backup plan. but there is an understandable reason why its been slow.
DeleteThere are not a lot of Embraers on the market. Even Air Montenegro's CEO said a few weeks ago. It was published here.
DeleteNice
ReplyDeleteBravo Air Serbia 🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸
ReplyDeleteKeep em coming!
ReplyDeleteInteresting routing
ReplyDeleteGoose Bay and Reykjavik are usual tech stops for these deliveries.
DeleteIs the delivery flight done by Azzora or Air Serbia.
DeleteI mean, where are the pilots from?
DeleteI believe JU, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong. I think the plane was officially handed over to JU at the start of the week by Azzora.
DeleteIt is done by JU, friend of mine flew YU-ATA on delivery so it is confirmed even though before that I was convinced that Azzora is flying aircraft for delivery
DeleteIts flying under YU country code so it has to be Serbian pilots
DeleteFirst time I see a pic with 3 JU E195s lines up
ReplyDeleteI think that first one is Marathon E190 with only JU sticker on it
DeleteGood to see another E195 arriving. These aircraft seem to be a much better fit for many of Air Serbia’s thinner European routes compared to the A319.
ReplyDeleteThe E195 really fills the gap between the ATR and A320 nicely.
DeleteThey got the previous one into service relatively quickly. Let's see how long this one will take.
ReplyDeleteEstimated departure from Reykjavik at 1pm local time today.
ReplyDeleteETA 6.30PM
No aircraft is too expensive if you have the appropriate business model for it.
DeleteA350 is a great money maker if utilised properly.
Only now JU managed to redeem damage done by Marathon. It took almost 2 years
ReplyDeleteNot really, now they have 4 dry leased and 4 wet leased for a total of 8 E-jets. Theyve never had 4 marathon jets
DeleteYes, you're right. 4th E195 never entered service
DeleteAny idea when the 2nd E195 will be painted?
ReplyDeleteWhen it goes into maintenance
Deleteis YU-ATB on maintenance? Hasnt flown in a while
ReplyDeleteYes, it's Naples undergoing maintenance.
Delete*it's in Naples
DeleteDoes anybody know what are the 2 registered a319 that are leaving the fleet ?
ReplyDeleteYU-APB/APD
DeleteHow many aircrafts AirSerbia will have during its busiest month (owned+dry+wet leased)?
ReplyDeleteOwned+dry 31
DeleteWet leased 8 ( 4 E190 Bulgaria + 4 A220 Air Baltic)
Just one more to round it up to 40 aircraft operating Air Serbia flights.
DeleteIdemo dalje...
ReplyDeleteBTW what happened with naming the aircarfts by city, mountain & river names of Serbia?
