NEWS FLASH
GP Aviation will introduce new seasonal flights from Pristina to Rimini (Rimini and San Marino Airport) on Italy’s Adriatic coast. The new service will commence on June 15 and operate weekly, on Mondays, until August 31. Further flight details can be found here. Earlier, the airline announced new routes from Pristina to Bergamo, Bremen, Brussels, Oslo, Salzburg and Vienna. Tickets for the new Rimini service are now available for purchase through the airline’s website.

Quite unexpected destination.
ReplyDeletelets see how long this one lasts
DeleteWhere does this stop? Or better, why don't they rebrand to a national carrier of Kosovo?
ReplyDeleteKosova Airlines doesn't sound bad
DeleteI would just go with Kos. It's a bird, after all.
DeleteGP Aviation is good brand. 👍
DeleteAnonymous 10:44 . It can't be. Kos in Albanian means yogurt
DeleteWhat is Votan Aero?
DeleteTurkish lessor of one of their 737Classic.
DeleteI think GP as a brand is pretty well established in Kosovo by now, only wish they had a more memorable livery
DeleteAw well anon 12:08, meanings can be stretched I suppose.
DeleteChair Airlines operating from Switzerland uses this name even though in French, which is one of the Swiss official languages Chair means Flesh.
So, if Flesh works, yoghurt might work as well.
Once a week? That's not even serious. Also an odd choice given Wizz announced Rome-PRN this year.
ReplyDeletePalermo/Catania would have been alot better than Rimini. Also because of the many cultural activities going on in Piana dei Albanesi from Pasque onwards.
Once a week for a summer flight? Sounds fine to me. Rome and Rimini are nowhere near each other.
DeleteTrue that, but Rimini to Milano is just over a 2 hr Train ride. And PRN is already connected to Milano.
DeleteIt's time for leisure destinations to Turkey, Greece, Dubai.
ReplyDeleteAthens would be amazing. There are already 10.000 registered weekly travels to Thessaloniki from Kosovo. I somehow believe it would work out nicely.
Delete@12:51 Thessaloniki is different because its 3hrs drive and you go by car. If you divide expenses for 3-4 persons its 20-30 euros. On the other hand, going by plane its at least 100 euros. In thessaloniki 100 euros is travel, accomodation (1 night) and food.
Delete@13:49
DeleteThess is 3 hours effective driving. Athens would be 1 hr flight :-)
Money also isn't an argument. TIA to Athens sells for 40EUR return with Wizz.
On top of that, not everybody wants to drive for hours, or travel in packs.
Point is, there should be more than just a Thessaloniki as a getaway destination. It gets consumed eventually. There is alot demand - but there are no offers. None from Pristina Airport anyways.
A3 could try seasonal ATH-PRN.
DeleteAegean tried Heraklion to Pristina but failed
DeleteAnon 12:51 who's taking those numbers?
Delete20:50 Weren't those charters? ATH can be a different story with connections etc.
Deleteat 20:51,
Deleteit was all over the media last year. add quote "kosovars spend 1mln eur in Thessaloniki on weekly basis".
at Anon 20:50 Heraklion flights were sold on full package holiday - not for spontaneous travellers"
On weekly basis? Damn, well done!
DeleteMaybe Verona is coming? ETF Airways was flying or Enter Air?
ReplyDeleteEnter Air, Germania.
DeleteGiven most of the comments from previous posts about people from Kosovo not flying, this means that the diaspora will eventually fly to Pristina so that they can fly to Rimini from there.
ReplyDeletePristina on its way to become a major transfer network for the Western Balkans akin to Dubai or Heathrow
DeleteWorld class humour. 🥱
DeleteIs GP aviation current operator of Mywings? Why no Trade Air flights now?
ReplyDeleteI think Mywings is no longer a thing
DeleteMyWings operations are now with GP Aviation, Helsinki, Bremen, Dortmund, Gothenburg...
