NEWS FLASH
Aegean Airlines will reduce frequencies on its services from Athens to both Skopje and Podgorica this summer compared to its original plan. Following a network revision last week, the carrier now intends to operate two weekly flights to Skopje in May, down from the planned three, while services in July, August and September will run three times per week instead of the previously planned four.
In Podgorica, Aegean will operate two weekly flights from June through to the end of September, down from the initially scheduled three weekly services.

I am really not sure why Aegean is unable to break through on these markets. Air Serbia has always been crushing them at BEG.

ReplyDeleteThis in definately not Aegean's best summer. Apart from the delay/cancelation of their 321neo/xlr (so, starting flights to India are postponed for spring/summer 2027, when they receive their first 321neo/lr), they have taken a big hit because of 320/321neo engines issue. They've already said the number of grounded 320/321neo will peak in 2026 (13-14 planes) and they are not fond of wet/dry-leasing planes, so they cut frequencies to any less profitable destinations to make ends meet. I woudn't expect any real expansion from Aegean in the Balkans, until after the 320/321neo engine issue is solved.
