Air Serbia and Azerbaijan’s flag carrier AZAL have signed a codeshare agreement. The development will see Azerbaijan Airlines place its “J2” designator code and flight numbers onto Air Serbia’s upcoming new two weekly service between Belgrade and Baku, set to launch on May 3. “Tickets will soon be available for purchase via AZAL’s official website and mobile application, as well as through the airline’s ticket offices and accredited agencies”, AZAL said in a statement. Alan Tune, Director of Revenue Management, Pricing and Alliances at Azerbaijan Airlines, noted, “The brand-new partnership between AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines and Air Serbia opens air connectivity between the Balkans, Azerbaijan, Caucasus region, Europe and beyond. With Air Serbia, AZAL’s route portfolio continues to grow, making global destinations and air connectivity more accessible than ever:

ReplyDeleteKavkaz i Kaspiski region su dobar pocteneijal za cenralnu Aziju. Baku je veliki centar.
ReplyDeleteEr Srbija posluje na svim pravcima...
Rodney nije mi samo jasno zasto JU nije dobila pravo da stavi svoj code na letove AZAL-a po Centralnoj Aziji i AZAL na JU letove na Balkanu? To mi nije jasno
DeleteBecause passengers will be able to book tickets via Azerbaijan Airlines' website, transfer in GYD and continue onto Air Serbia's flight to Belgrade. Travel in other direction is highly unlikely.
DeleteAt least we know that JU will be able to fuel up nicely over there.
ReplyDeleteLet's wait for the actual results first. It's not that easy to fill up two weekly codeshare connections vs. AZAL and TK codeshare having multiple daily flights and dominating the market.
