NEWS FLASH
Low cost carrier Flyadeal plans to launch a new seasonal service between Dammam and Sarajevo this summer. Flights are expected to commence on June 22 and operate twice per week, on Wednesdays and Fridays, until August 28. Flyadeal usually schedules and puts its Sarajevo flights on sale closer to the date of launch. Therefore, tickets are yet to be made available for purchase. The airline also plans to resume its seasonal operations from Riyadh, Jeddah and Gassim to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capital, which operated last summer as well. Dammam is located on the Gulf coast and is on the boarder with Bahrain. It has been used as an alternative to access the nearby Kingdom during the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

This is veeeryy optimistic
ReplyDeleteNothing optimisitic about this, Flynas have been operating Jeddah service normally, and even Fludubai has been doing flights. QTR announced they are starting flights as well. Really affected destination so far has been Kuwait, Jazeera cancelling all flights so far. [S.K.]
DeleteAnonymous13:58 maybe its about the entire region being dragged into war not the connectivity issue idk lol
DeleteWe already know from reports that ME flights to Europe are 50% down compared to the same period last year, so ex-Yu countries are just following the trend. I am just saying, SA does not seem to be affected, so Flydeal flights should not be the problem. Qatar and Oman are now much less affected by Iranian missiles considering they change their stance in the US/Israel attacks against Iran. But Kuwait is going to be affected, Bahrain as well. There were bleak predictions for levels of traffic at SJJ for March 2026, and yet it is 22% up on the previous year.[S.K.]
DeleteDammam currently is the airport also and of Kuwait and Bahrain.
ReplyDeleteSJJ had in March 22% more passengers compared to 2025 :)
