NEWS FLASH

Spanish low cost carrier Vueling has temporarily suspended flights between Barcelona and Tivat. Service on the seasonal route resumed on March 31 with two weekly rotations, down from the three initially planned. However, as of today, the airline has suspended the route until June 18, when operations are due to resume with two weekly flights, increasing to three weekly from July. Services are scheduled to run until September 12.

Another clear sign that airlines will cancel flights overnight if they are not profitable.

Wait for the airline to contact you. They will offer you an alternative.

When the ship sinks, everyone is on their own, the airline will just leave you hanging if things go south, like they did with Iran uncertainty.

BCN- TIV seemed an odd one to start with. Would Catalans escape the tourist crowd by flying off to Montenegro in the middle of the summer

Love Montenegro as a country but don't understand anyone who goes there to relax during the summer when there is often no running water in the afternoons and raw sewrege directly seeps into the sea which is the reason why most people get a stomach virus when holidaying there.

Young Westerners often have a fetish for non-western countries because it makes them feel like they're doing slightly more wild tourism but without having to go all the way as far as Zimbabwe or Bangkok.

Dubrovnik is mainstream but Tivat is "alternative".

2 years ago been with the family in Tivat and Budva. Never again. Chaos, subpar services and more or less same prices as a south France or Italy

20:46 I agree with you completely, Montenegro coast is totally overcrowded during summer months, and the hygiene is atrocious. I don't know how anyone can want to go there in that period. There are other parts of the country which are absolutely gorgeous and not overcrowded. I won't say which ones because I don't want them too to be spoiled, I live in Dubrovnik and often go to those other parts of Montenegro in summer :)

BCN-TIV exist just like BCN-MLA for example. BTW Barcelona isn't just a tourist mecca. It is also a hub airport for transfers allover the world. Vueling's hub too.
