Edelweiss Air adds Pristina wide-body service in May

Switzerland’s Edelweiss Air has scheduled another wide-body flight on its Zurich - Pristina service, this time in May, following the deployment of the aircraft on select dates this March, as well as April. The carrier now plans to utilise its 339-seat Airbus A350-900 on the morning service on Monday May 25.

Last summer, the airline utilised wide-body aircraft on the Zurich - Pristina service throughout much of the season, primarily for crew familiarisation purposes.

Edelweiss Air’s A350-900s feature thirty lie-flat business class seats and the remaining 309 in economy. The cabins are inherited from former operator LATAM. The leisure carrier will introduce new elevated cabin on its A350s, which includes 1-2-1 seating in business class and a premium economy section, in December this year.

      Because it makes perfect sense. Short rotations, high demand, great for crew training, good airport infrastructure to support wide-bodies...

      But they have and competitors on the route. Actually if they'll start with A330 to USA will be profitable, there are a lot of passengers on this market also from Tirana.

      I think it would be more important to start flights from Kukes. The airport is dying, five destinations in Germany, Switzerland or Italy can easily be maintained.
