NEWS FLASH
Wizz Air has partnered with Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS) to offer an opt-in "Disruption Assistance" service, allowing passengers to immediately rebook on any airline or receive a 100% refund if their flight is cancelled or delayed by two hours or over. This premium service is available during booking via the Wizz Air website or app for between 9.90 and 14.90 euros. On the day of the trip, HTS monitors and proactively notifies customers who have purchased Disruption Assistance of any qualifying disruptions - typically delays of two hours and above or a cancellation on the day of travel. If customers face one of these disruptions, they can rebook to their final destination on any airline for free, up to a cap. If they are not satisfied with their rebooking options, customers can get a 100% refund of their booking and still take their original flight. Silvia Mosquera, Commercial Officer at Wizz Air, said, “By introducing this tool, we are offering a uniquely proactive customer-centric solution that complements our existing services – giving passengers reassurance from as early as a two-hour delay, well before EU-mandated coverage applies. It works alongside our existing support options and Regulation EC261, enhancing the care we provide while maintaining our commitment to fair and transparent service”.

Not bad actually. I'm just wondering what's the cap

Delete1.)Rebook a new flight on any airline (up to MKD 9,300.00 per person)
2.)Get a 100% refund and keep your original flight, if you’re not happy with the rebooking options
3.)Use our self-serve tools or speak to an agent!
Like the pic and the snowy mountain in the background. Where was this taken?

DeleteEven Ryanair doesn't make passengers PAY to be rebooked onto another airline when the flight is cancelled. What the hell?? Wizz is an absolute joke.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Ryanair rebooks you on another airline at all. It is either an alternative Ryanair flight or money back.
DeleteWizz doesn't either, and they don't even offer an alternative route. You have to take the route that was your original flight. Even if there is a flight to a nearby airport.
DeleteThey lost me at "up to a cap"
ReplyDeleteAnother strange wizzair invention that will be forgotten rapidly. Remember the 'all you can fly sillyness.' Ryanair, for all their fault (and i love them) tend to avoid these strange ideas.
