easyJet has finalised its 2026/27 winter schedule for the former Yugoslav markets making several tweaks over the past week. It will introduce additional capacity in Slovenia, make targeted frequency adjustments in Serbia, and maintain a limited winter presence in Croatia. While the carrier continues to expand in Ljubljana, it will also suspend several services during the off-peak season, including the previously announced withdrawal from the Paris Orly - Skopje route.
In Ljubljana, the low-cost carrier will operate between three and six additional weekly flights compared to the previous winter season, depending on the month. It will launch a new three weekly service between London Luton and the Slovenian capital on October 26, increasing to four weekly from November 23. The airline is also boosting frequencies on its London Gatwick - Ljubljana route. Initially scheduled to operate five times per week, the service will run daily from November 30 until January 3. Meanwhile, easyJet's new Manchester - Ljubljana route will operate twice weekly during the winter season but will be suspended between January 5 and February 13.
In Belgrade, easyJet will operate two weekly flights from Geneva, increasing to three weekly from November 30 until January 3, after which the route will operate daily for one week. Frequencies will then range between two and four weekly until February 15, before increasing to four weekly for the remainder of the winter season. Services from Paris Charles de Gaulle will operate twice per week until January 11, after which they will be suspended until February 5. Flights will then resume until February 19, before being suspended again.
As previously reported, easyJet is discontinuing flights between Paris Orly and Skopje from October 24. Services between Geneva and the Macedonian capital will operate twice per week throughout the winter season, with the exception of the period between January 4 and January 10, when four weekly flights will be maintained.
Operations to Pristina from Berlin, Basel, Geneva, Lyon and Zurich will remain unchanged this winter compared to last, with the exception of January. During the month, the airline will add three additional weekly flights from Basel compared to January 2026, bringing the total to thirteen per week, as well as one extra weekly service from both Geneva and Berlin, increasing frequencies to thirteen and three weekly, respectively.
Despite serving most of its Croatian coastal routes on a seasonal basis, easyJet will operate up to eight weekly flights in the market during November, as well as a two weekly service in February. The airline will extend its London Gatwick - Split service into November with two weekly flights. However, this comes at the expense of the Manchester - Dubrovnik route, which will not operate at all during the winter season, unlike last year when it was maintained twice weekly throughout November. Other services operating during November at the same level as last year include flights from London Gatwick and Berlin to Split. The airline will then suspend all operations to Croatia until February 13, when it plans to resume a twice-weekly London Gatwick - Dubrovnik service.

Bravo Fraport!
ReplyDeleteLjubljana's winter network is becoming increasingly competitive. That's good news for passengers.
DeleteHaving 11x weekly flights to LON is a huge increase compared to previous years, I guess the demand really is there. Gonna hear a lot of Brits in Ljubljana for this winter. Pity about the MAN downgrade, I guess the loads really weren’t the best in January.
ReplyDeleteAre the London flights still below pre Covid?
DeleteYes
DeleteHow many were there in 2019?
DeleteDuring summer 2019 there were 20 weekly flights to London airports ... British to Heathrow 2pw, Easyjet to Stansted 10pw, Easyjet to Gatwick 4pw, Wizzair to Luton 4pw.
Deletenext summer we will probably reach or go above 2019 level ... british 9pw, easyjet probably 14pw...
DeleteI think there were 4 flights to London yesterday, which is amazing.
Deletetomorrow there are 33 departures from Ljubljana ... finally looks like a normal airport
DeleteToday 155 landings at BEG. I think that's new all time record
DeleteNo
DeleteWhy they are failing in Skopje, I'm not sure, there is plenty of potential
ReplyDeleteWell Paris is served by wizzair from Beauvais. Its not a very large market so potential is limited.
DeleteThe withdrawal from Skopje - Paris Orly is unfortunate. Hopefully another airline eventually fills the gap.
DeleteNot likely in the medium term.
DeleteOut of all the markets they chose Paris again with no diaspora.... and Geneva going 4 times pw during a week? Whats up with this joke of an airline?
DeleteEasyjet a joke of an airline? Really sir? Really?
DeleteThe 4 weekly during xmas is a good sign that they could increase the freq also for peak summer period
DeleteBTW they failed with CDG years ago in PRN as well and you see above even BEG is clumsy for them
They did fly 4pw on their Skopje Geneva route (up from 2pw) the first round. Then they ended the operations, and then came back again with 2 pw then the government gave out new money. Lets see how long they stick aorund this time. Last time they had 66k+ passangers in a year if I remember correctly.
DeleteGreat to see Ljubljana continuing to grow. It really seems to have become one of easyJet's priority markets in the region.
ReplyDeleteActually, Pristina continues to be one of easyJet's strongest markets in the region. Those January frequencies are impressive.
DeleteIt will be interesting to see whether easyJet brings back some of these suspended winter routes next year or if this becomes the new normal.
ReplyDeleteEasyjet's strategy seems increasingly data-driven. Instead of cancelling routes completely it's trimming capacity only during the weakest weeks.
DeleteOverall, this looks like a sensible winter schedule. Adding capacity where demand is strongest while avoiding unnecessary losses on weaker routes.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't EasyJet fly from Orly instead?
ReplyDeleteIs that a wish or a statement? Lol
DeleteDaily Ljubljana - Gatwick flights over the Christmas and New Year period should perform very well.
ReplyDeleteBelgrade still feels underserved by easyJet compared to cities of a similar size elsewhere in Europe.
ReplyDeleteThis confirms that airlines are becoming much more disciplined with winter schedules. Gone are the days of flying simply to maintain market presence.
DeleteBelgrade still has plenty of untapped potential for easyJet.
DeleteIf Wizz Air is forced to resuce ops from Belgrade in winter, then I think it would be a big opportunity for them. Depends if they are interested at all.
Delete^ +1 but I think BEG is in the periphery for them.
DeleteDon't be so sure. VINCI has a very good relationship with easy. If Wizz is forced to reduce ops, I would assume there is someone sane enough at BEG to have started talks with easy and other airlines to increase flights, routes and frequnecies.
DeleteI hope one day easyjet will fly again BSL-BEG
DeleteI'd love Gatwick - Belgrade as they once hinted at.
DeleteThe Pristina network just keeps growing. It's probably one of easyJet's strongest ethnic markets anywhere in Europe.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if they opened a base in PRN and it finally got a proper home airline.
Delete@09:26 what on earth does 'ethnic market' mean? Very old fashioned langauge not suited to modern aviation discussions.
DeleteEthnic market is a market reliant heavily on diaspora traffic. It is nothing old fashioned and is used widely in aviation today.
DeleteIt is used i know but its outdated, clinical and implies an era of the 1960s etc. The term ethic is reductive and culturally insensative, do we want the Balkan aviation to be viewed through the lens of migration and movement? Not so much. Better VFR.
DeleteWoke warning alert.
Delete@10:14 idiot alert.
DeleteIs it just tell us how to talk or tell us how to think as well?
Delete97% of PRN' traffic is diaspora driven. You can call it ethnic traffic, gasto, VFR or whatever
DeleteVFR traffic is the term used by professionals.
DeleteWell we are not and we say gasto
DeleteWell we should be more professional in the region. On many levels.
DeleteNice to see Geneva - Skopje staying year-round despite the loss of the Paris service.
ReplyDeleteIf fuel prices remain low this winter, I hope easy restores some of the suspended frequencies closer to the season.
ReplyDeleteHow about BER-LJU lol
ReplyDeleteReally hope it comes back one day!
DeleteIt's interesting that easyJet is willing to operate daily flights for just a week or two.
ReplyDeleteThe schedule shows that they are much more flexible instead of sticking to the same frequencies throughout the season.
DeleteI wouldn't be surprised if Ljubljana gets another new easyJet destination next summer given the current trend.
ReplyDeletePorto or Basel would be great.
Deletethere are some indications ...
DeleteU2 have a number of Spanish bases, so you never know... just saying
DeleteIndications of what? Clearly there is market to be tapped, but both Easy and Wizz are afraid to go for it, because statistic doesn't show how much of a market Ljubljana is, especially when it comes o summer destinations
Deleteindications from inside of fraport ;) #edi
DeleteIndication of which destinations Mr. Edi?
DeletePlease, do tell!
DeleteI think PMI is the route they are referring to :)
DeleteIs the new route planned for winter or next summer?
DeleteI'd like to see easyJet return to Zagreb with a larger operation one day. The market seems underrepresented in its network.
ReplyDeleteThey dont fly to Zagreb at all.
DeleteYes, that's what I said. I would like to see them return to Zagreb. They used to have a couple of routes once upon a time.
DeleteThese adjustments are relatively minor overall
ReplyDeleteeasyjet does not have a big network in these markets in winter in general.
DeleteThe Belgrade schedule looks complicated with all the increases and temporary suspensions.
ReplyDeleteI guess it reflects seasonal demand.
DeleteWhy is there no schedule CDG-BEG after February?
ReplyDeleteThey will load it later. They did the same for Geneva in previous years.
DeleteI would like to see Easyjet announce new Belgrade routes that would compete with Wizzair. That would move some passengers from Wizz to Easy and influence Wizz to make quicker retreat from Belgrade.
DeleteWeird to wish less connectivity. Please dont get into airport management.
DeleteWhere do you see less connectivity? It would be much more, with Easy and Ryan openly competing instead of drama queen pink airline calling the shots.
DeleteI'm sure that EasyJet and Ryanair are watching the government's actions closely, calculating if that is the kind of reliable party they'd want increased dealings with. I'm sure the pink airline is very sad not to have your custom considering you clearly don't need or use its services.
DeleteAll 3 ULCCs already fly to Serbia. I can't imagine moral suffering, pains and scruple those airlines have to go through when deciding to deal with impeccable, reliable and fully transparent governments in Albania, Bosnia, Moldova, N Macedonia, Montenegro and many other wonderful places they fly to.
DeleteWell they seem more reliable in the field of aviation
DeleteSure, if we forget B&H passenger departure tax and many other follies. Easy and Ryan will jump on the opportunity to displace Wizz and are more than capable of negotiating terms. Belgrade is close to a 10 million annual pax airport that's worth fighting for, not some Tuzla backwater where Ryan quickly retreated. We'll see.
DeleteHonestly cannot think about winter in this heat
ReplyDeleteEasy has thought about it
DeletePity that other than London-Ljubljana there is nothing new. They are adding 13 new routes from 8 UK airports this winter.
ReplyDeleteUK is pretty much covered from LJU for now, there are other much more needed routes.
DeleteBristol - Ljubljana would be a natural EasyJet route, as would Naples.
DeleteI think that someone will break the ice, because its odd that there is demand for 2+ weekly flights to London and yet “no demand” for other routes. Day 1097 in waiting for LCC step in :D
ReplyDelete2+ daily **** :D
Delete4 daily on saturdays, 3 daily on sundays, and 2 daily on weekdays***
Delete
