NEWS FLASH
Robert Ludera, Board Member and Chief Commercial Officer at LOT Polish Airlines, said, “The tenth anniversary of the resumption of direct flights between Warsaw and Zagreb marks an important milestone for LOT Polish Airlines. Over the past decade, this route has played a significant role in strengthening connectivity between Poland and Croatia, while providing passengers with convenient access to LOT’s extensive network via our Warsaw hub. The continued demand for this service is reflected in the steady growth of our capacity. In the summer 2026 season, LOT operates up to twelve to thirteen flights per week between Warsaw and Zagreb, while the number of seats offered on the route has increased from 97.004 in 2024 to 108.782 in 2025 and will reach 115.844 in 2026. This consistent increase in capacity reflects the strength of demand and the growing importance of the Croatian market within LOT’s network. As we continue to develop our network and transfer offering, Zagreb remains an important destination within LOT’s regional portfolio and a key market in Central and Southeast Europe”.
Nicolas Duthilleul, Chief Operations Officer and Board Member of Zagreb Airport, added, “LOT’s Warsaw - Zagreb route is an important part of Zagreb’s European network. Over the years, it has contributed to the growth of passenger numbers at Zagreb Airport, supported tourism flows and strengthened economic ties between two countries. We congratulate LOT Airlines on this anniversary and look forward to continued cooperation”.
While LOT does not have direct competition on the route, Ryanair will introduce flights between Warsaw Modlin Airport and Zagreb this coming winter season.
