SAS Scandinavian Airlines has dropped plans to resume seasonal summer flights between Copenhagen and Sarajevo this year following several postponements. The carrier operated just five return services on the route, three in April and two in May, before suspending flights. Operations were initially due to resume on July 2 but were subsequently postponed until September 2. The route has now been cancelled for the remainder of the year. SAS has reduced frequencies and suspended a number of services in response to increased fuel prices.

This was widely expected. Don't know why they left tickets from September and October on sale in the first place.

ReplyDeleteExpected, after massive cuts in Zagreb, Ljubljana, Tuzla, Banja Luka, Rijeka, Nis. After Sarajevo, I expect Skopje is next

DeleteOne of the other services that SK has suspended is CPH-IST. It was supposed to be operated once daily, but just like CPH-SJJ, it has been fully suspended for months now, and will remain suspended for the remainder of the summer schedule.

DeleteWinter season is looking apocalyptic across the industry in Europe. Fuel price volatility is causing chaos, and comsumers are feeling the pinch too, generally speaking. Don't want to spread panic, but Q4 of this year acorss the industry in Europe in particular is going to be harsh.
ReplyDeleteI wrote that here some time ago and everyone were telling me that the war is over and fuel price gonna be ok. I said then I am saying now this war will least at least a year and especially tourism sector with flights will be affected for a long time from now on. Same as after the Covid19 will take time to fully recover
