The Foreign Ministers of Serbia and Tanzania have discussed the potential introduction of flights between the two countries as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral economic ties and establish a joint economic commission. During talks in Belgrade, aviation featured prominently, with the two sides considering potential cooperation between Air Serbia and Air Tanzania, as well as options for improving air connectivity between the two markets.
Tanzania proposed Dar es Salaam as a potential gateway for Serbia into African markets, while Serbia highlighted Air Serbia’s extensive European and long-haul network and its interest in further expanding its presence in Africa. The two sides agreed that aviation authorities should continue discussions on opportunities for both passenger and cargo traffic. Around 5.000 Serbian nationals visited Tanzania in 2025, with Zanzibar accounting for the bulk of demand.

Europe is only connected to Dar-es-Salaam through IST (7x weekly) and AMS (5x weekly) according to Flightradar24 though no direct flights from AMS.

Majority of Europe traffic to Dar go via Dubai and Doha
And there are plenty of eurooean leisure carriers in Zanzibar which is just a hop across on ferry
Which underlines the impossibility of a Belgrade link.
