Do we know the average lf? Has anyone been on the flight to share his experience?
ReplyDeleteTrip report from inaugural flight is available in the Trip Report section.
DeleteI flew Beg -Yyz on Aug 19th, economy was 100% full, not really sure about business tho.
DeleteI flew on the inaugural YYZ-BEG and it seems full in economy. On the way back June 10th the plane was half empty.
Delete^ yes that's why they are resuming flights next year. Because it's empty...

DeleteNo need for that, flights weren't 100% full all the time for sure. Company wouldn't extended flights for next season if didn't performed as expected.
If you read the persons comment properly, you would notice the demand was from the diaspora travelling from Canada - initially inbound full, outbound half cabin with the opposite likely last month. Even JU was expecting this prior to launching YYZ and is likely the reason they're not extending the season.
DeleteNot extending the season can be due to many things. Here everybody is obsessed with loads and load factors and thinks this is the only factor in anything. They might not extend the season because fuel prices have increased significantly or because Toronto is one of the most expensive airports in the world and with high fuel prices that makes a big difference.
DeleteIf the discussion was on profitability you would have a point. However the heavy 1 sided demand coupled with seasonality is what is being discussed. Seeing that YYZ is returning next summer indicates the route met their expectations however didn't exceed them to warrant extending the season.
DeleteI flew this route 5 times (one way) this summer and flight was not always full except BEGYYZ in Aug in Sep was 100% load in both cabins.. on my Flight from YYZBEG in June i was in J and there was 5 open seats which is not bad.. on the way back in July 2 seats left in J.. I Took the second flight in May from BEGyyz and there was over 40 seats open in economy. I strongly believe they should of started tge route in April and go extend the service all year round. Toronto it is super expensive Airport and that might be the problem for operating 1 rotation a week during the winter season.
DeleteWhy some commenter(s) are so upset that people on an aviation enthusiasts page ask about the routes loadfactor?
DeleteAdmin any idea bout the lf on these flights?
ReplyDeletePrice of jet fuel is not helping. Extending the season could probably work if circumstances were better.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the first year and all the best for 2027!
Why isn't Baku on sale for the summer season?
ReplyDeleteThey still haven't finalised their summer. Why not just wait? Yesterday people were writing that Toronto is cancelled.
DeleteDo I have a choice, if I want to fly with JU? No, so of course I'll wait.
DeleteIf you need to book book, if not wait.
DeleteI'm going to book book now, I will wait.
DeleteSome are largely disappointed now... Not sorry for them.
ReplyDeleteThey should move start 2 weeks back, due to Expo start.
Idemo dalje...
ReplyDeleteIf Canada lifts the visa requirement then the numbers would increase significantly. The dinar/Euro is very strong vs the Canadian dollar.
ReplyDeleteOr just to make it easier to apply and get it. The same thing with the UK
Delete@16:20..The world is getting more restrictive regarding movement and visas. It very unlikely prospect anytime soon.
DeleteEU citizens can get there much more easily.
DeleteI hope it was profitable this summer.
ReplyDeleteWell clearly it has met expectations, and they have a good record of letting routes mature which is the way to do this game properly.
DeleteSchool holidays begin in Germany today. Wouldn't it make sense for the flights scheduled to use the Embraer today and tomorrow to be upgraded to the A319 or A320? For instance, tomorrow morning, all flights to DUS, BER, FRA, and MUC are scheduled with the Embraer.
ReplyDeleteWhat has that got to do with Toronto? I'm sure that the flight planners are doing their utmost to maximise capacity and profitability, I wouldn't worry about that.
DeleteWill AirSerbia open some seats on Aeroplan points redemption?
ReplyDeleteAir Serbia is not a member of aeroplan. Why would they offer redemption points?
DeleteJU has been an Aeroplan partner since 2020.

Under Etihad Guest. But not anymore.
DeleteAre the seasonal dates supposed to be similar? Ending some time end of September? I wish they were at least running until end of October
ReplyDeleteMe too brotha.
DeleteIt took forever to return to YYZ , so I'm happy for this first of all! Glad they are coming back next spring ! Great job JU!👍✈️
ReplyDeleteThey could maybe operate Toronto between 15th December and 15th January. There would be demand for sure.
ReplyDeletebut only one way demand...Full plane around 25th from YYZ , and empty from BEG...Same thing on return- full on 6-10th January from Beg, and empty from YYZ..that's a huge problem, nobody from Serbia travels to Toronto, just a few relatives that are soo lucky to get visa to visit their families
DeleteThat huge problem is a huuuge lie. I have seen many passengers, and some of them transfers, flying from YYZ to (or via) BEG on inaugural flight. Wouldn't be surprised if the same was true for inaugural return flights from Tenerife or upcoming return flight from Tromso. With competitive pricing and connections Toronto is appealing option at both ends of the season.
DeleteThat being said, I don't expect Dec/Jan flights this season.
I don't think that is true as well. There is way more demand between these cities in winter then people think. People will travel for many reason beside Christams holidays.
