Livery of the week: Finnair special

Finnair has unveiled a special livery for its latest A350-900 aircraft, designed by fashion company Marimmeko. The carrier’s 11th A350 features the Marimekko "Kivet" design. Maija Isola created the Kivet fabric in 1956 by cutting out rounds of coloured paper with scissors. The print’s shapes likely originate from the large, rough-edged stones cleared from the site of the artist´s studio home. The livery features blue shapes around the empennage of the frame, the biggest of which is just under three metres in diameter. The design took sixteen days to paint. Finnair jets have previously featured other Marimekko-designed liveries and the trademark Kivet pattern is also found on its business class and economy comfort amenity kits, tea and paper cups, slippers, napkins and blankets.

Me too. They should have made this their custom livery. Better than the all white scheme they have.
