Croatia Airlines and Montenegro Airlines make minor changes to winter network

The 2015/16 winter season begins tomorrow, with Croatia Airlines and Montenegro Airlines to maintain similar schedules to that of last year.

Croatia Airlines will run 132 weekly international departures from its hub in Zagreb, the same as last year, while on the domestic front the carrier will add an additional rotation between the Croatian capital and Split. Despite negotiations with local authorities in Dubrovnik for the introduction of a nonstop service to Frankfurt, the airline has opted to keep the same schedule from the coastal city as last year. This winter, Croatia Airlines will begin codesharing on LOT Polish Airlines' flights between Zagreb and Warsaw, when the service resumes on January 2, 2016. Unlike last winter, Croatia Airlines faces stiffer competition on two routes from its Zagreb hub - Brussels (Brussels Airlines, six times per week) and Zurich (Swiss International Air Lines, four times per week), The airline will continue to maintain flights between Pula and Zadar, six times per week as per last winter season.

Montenegro Airlines will suspend flights from Podgorica to Moscow, which were maintained once per week last winter season. Instead, the airline will shift the service to Tivat, where it will operate four weekly departures to Domodedovo Airport. In line with the carrier's plans, flights from Podgorica to Ljubljana will see an additional weekly departure for a total of three weekly services. The airline will continue to operate seventeen weekly flights from Podgorica to Belgrade with frequencies to Paris, Rome, Vienna and Zurich also unchanged compared to the previous winter season. In addition, it will maintain charter flights to several German cities, including Berlin, Leipzig, Nuremberg, Hanover and Stuttgart, until November 11.

Interesting that Adria has almost overtaken Croatia Airlines. If you add Adria's international departures from Ljubljana, there are 130 weekly flights while Croatia Airlines has 132

Not to mention that JP has woken up and they are actually expanding. I don't think we will see any wow developments from OU. They are way too conservative.

Wow, OU has quite a poor network, even compared to JP. But on the other hand ZAG has more connections than LJU

No one mentioned that JU revised it's schedule to SKP. Out of 7 flights, 4 are night departures. Seems like some people have finally realised that they absolutely need these midnight departures.

If you read more carefully, you'd see that restructuring process ends at the end of 2015, so it's not over yet, ok?

But you have to open reservations like LOT etc., that is no problem now.
So you can assume there will be nothing in 1st half of 2016.

They've been repeating this for years now and nothing has come out of it. That said, I heard that the market is huge and TK is profiting the most from it.

    2. Probably the same as other carriers in our region, they have potential but they can't figure out how to capitalize on it without some else coming and doing it for them.

A318 is a wacky plane too.
