LATAM Airlines Group has unveiled its new livery featuring its new branding. The carrier's updated livery features its new logo against an all-white fuselage, and its new corporate colours of indigo and coral on the tail. The first aircraft to operate with a new livery, a Boeing 767, will be chartered on a special flight from Rio de Janeiro to Geneva on May 1, to collect the Olympic torch ahead of Brazil hosting the Olympics this year. The aircraft will return to Brasilia on May 3, where the Olympic torch relay will begin. Commercial service on aircraft with the new livery will begin on May 5. More than fifty aircraft will be repainted in the new livery by the end of 2016, while the entire fleet will be rebranded in 2018. LATAM announced the new branding in August 2015. It unites the carriers in the group, formed by a merger between Chile's LAN and Brazil's TAM. The painting process for each aircraft requires multiple applications of paint and Clearcoat, a new technologically-advanced gloss coating which protects against extreme temperatures and aerodynamic wear. In total, repainting takes six days - the first two days to remove the original paintwork, followed by the application of multiple coats over four days. In terms of quantity, a Boeing 787 for example, requires 300 litres of paint and 150 litres of Clearcoat.

I agree, LAN's and TAM's liveries are much better than this.

I think this livery is a bit too plain for my taste but it could easily be salvaged by adding some color or design to the engines.

Passed by Everett today and I am pretty sure I saw a 787 with this livery coming in for a landing. Have they already been painted or were my eyes deceiving me?
