Sarajevo Airport numbers down in February

Sarajevo Airport has seen its passenger numbers decline during the month of February. With a day less compared to 2016's leap year, Sarajevo welcomed 41.122 travellers through its doors, a decrease of 3.4%. Despite the passenger decline, the number of aircraft movements increased 2.5% to 731. So far, TUIfly Belgium (Charleroi), AtlasGlobal (Istanbul), Qatar Airways (Doha) and Wizz Air (Budapest) have announced new services to the Bosnian capital starting this year. Meanwhile, Swiss International Air Lines and Air Arabia will resume their seasonal flights to the city. During the first two months of 2017, Sarajevo Airport handled 84.499 passengers, an increase of 0.9% on last year.
