Alitalia returns to Croatia

NEWS FLASH

Alitalia has resumed operations to Croatia this summer after two years of absence. The Italian airline commenced two weekly flights from Rome to Split last Friday, with services to Dubrovnik launching on July 23. Both will be operated seasonally twice per week with Airbus 319 and A320 aircraft until September. Alitalia says the new flights are in response to increasing travel demand to Croatia with 1.119.932 Italian visitors arriving in the country last year. Flights from Rome to Split operate on Fridays and Sundays during the month of July and on Tuesdays and Sundays in August and September. Depending on the day, the flights depart from Rome Fiumicino Airport early in the morning or at midday and from Split in the morning or early afternoon. Flights from Rome to Dubrovnik will operate on Tuesdays and Sundays.

Hopefully in 2018 They add Zagreb.

Once Alitalia flew to Zagreb daily, would be nice to see them come back.

Amazing Croatia. The exponential growth across many airports and new quality carriers arriving is fantastico!

  8. 16% growth of air traffic in Croatia over the first 5 months of 2017. With June added it's definitely more. This year, we'll almost certainly reach 10 million pax. Maybe more.

Bye bye Alitalia, and good riddance. They've been nothing but a scar on the airline industry and the sooner they're put down for good, the better!
