Vueling Austria to launch Dubrovnik flights

Spanish airline Vueling is expected to launch its new Austrian subsidiary airline out of Vienna on July 15. Dubrovnik is set to be among the carrier's first eleven routes out of the city, although tickets are yet to go on sale. Vueling had earlier promised to deploy up to eight aircraft from Vienna and use the airport as a base for expansion into Eastern Europe if it had succeeded in taking over Austrian carrier Niki. Ryanair eventually won the bid. Vueling maintains year-round operations to Dubrovnik from Barcelona and Rome.

    No shock there. Austrian Airlines is making a killing on the route with their A321s.

    This will be a cash-cow for them. It's nice how Vueling is slowly building up a presence in Dubrovnik.

    I really like the way DBV is growing and developing.

      Dubrovnik was always a cash-cow for Vueling which inherited the route from Clickair upon their merger.

    Nice. That's 1.440 seats a week or 5.750 a month. Dubrovnik will keep on growing nicely. Let's see what other airports in Croatia do.

    Iberia will also fly from Madrid to Dubrovnik year-round (2 weekly). Flights are already bookable for next winter.

      You see and then all of you attacked that guy who praised DBV and its management. They obviously know how to run the airport.

      I mean SPU is so much larger yet its year-round flights are nothing compared to Dubrovnik.
