Belgrade Airport registers busiest June

Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport has recorded its busiest June to date by handling 539.137 passengers during the month, representing an increase of 6.4% on last year. The number of aircraft movements stood at 5.651, up 2.5%, while its second-busiest day of all time was registered on June 29 when 22.890 travellers passed through its doors, just 250 short of its record set on July 31, 2017. During the first half of the year, Belgrade Airport welcomed 2.463.720 passengers through its doors, an increase of 6.6%.

      Flight radar has a playback option (just discovered it)

      Silk Way West Airlines and it came from Frankfurt Hahn. (Not China sorry)

      I think Silk Way is from Azerbaijan and they mostly carry weapons that are bought by Afghanistan's police force.

    I hope BEG would be much more concerning the fact it was Final Four in Belgrade this June. I am rather disappointed because of this. Especially concerning the fact that other airports in region had 15+%

      It's not easy to grow in large numbers when you have a big baseline. BEG is in a whole different league compared to other ex-Yu airports. That can't be simply compared.

    On July 2 BEG handled it's 2.5 milionth passenger, 8 days earlier than ever before. So in just two days the airport handled some 40.000 passengers!!!!

    Cargo dropped by 25%

    Does anyone know why is that? I had a feeling that cargo is booming, with Etihad and Turkish sending wide bodies often.

      Last June Serbia sold some tanks to Cameroon and they were carried by plane. That's why there is such a fall this June.

      That said, cargo is up by 19% so far.
