NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia will add over ten additional weekly flights between Belgrade and Tivat this summer season when compared to last year. The Serbian carrier plans to maintain up to 36 weekly rotations between the two cities during the height of summer. As a result, the airline has some 8.500 weekly tickets on sale between the two cities over the peak summer travel period. It will be operating flights five times per day between Belgrade and Tivat on all days except Friday, when it will run six daily flights. "The increased frequencies of flights to Tivat is our response to the growing demand and the needs of our passengers. Tivat is a popular destination, both for tourists from Serbia, and for travellers from other countries, and we are offering the best seamless travel option via our growing hub in Belgrade”, BoÅ¡ko Rupić, Air Serbia's Head of Trade & Corporate Sales, said.

Montenegro Airlines also recently scheduled additional services between Tivat and Belgrade, with the carrier to offer up to 29 weekly flights between the two cities or some 6.700 seats per week. In 2019, a total of 527.518 passengers flew between Serbia and Montenegro.

Can TIV runway cater for a full A332? I know Russian 744s fflew there, so I hope the answer is yes and JU shall use them. JU once used D13 for flights to TGD.

It flew DC 10 to Tivat, too.
It`s none of a problem, given that it does not need to carry much fuel.

This tells even more about why JU actually needs a second A332 for better utilization.

I fear that lease rates would be too high for JU.

They did operate flights with an ATR. Those just went back to the company they leased the jets from. Flybe wasn’t the owner of those jets, it was subleased from Loganair/Stobart/Blue Island.
