NEWS FLASH

Work on Ljubljana Airport’s new passenger terminal is continuing to advance with the facility on course to open on July 1, 2021. All of the construction work is progressing on schedule and in line with the budget. The baggage handling system has been put in place, check-in counters installed, inline screening units delivered and Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) exercises have been organised for the first quarter of 2021. The terminal stretches over 10.000 square metres and features a new departures hall with 22 check-in counters, five security lanes and three baggage carousels.

Even if they will announce a total closure of the airport it is still foolish ... and totally unproductive.

taking into account, that LJU these days looks more like airliner graveyard and short/long term parking for aircraft, they can use the new terminal as covid hospital, if cases will continue to rise with current rate....(not cinism)
